Oh my, no. It's really not pleasant-sounding. And there is the obvious, unfortunate association of Ryker's Island - the prison in New York City.

I think Ryker's Island. To compound the already violent association, Ryker also sounds like a mash-up of rifle and striker.

Matilda Sailor or Faye Matilda | Sylvie Winifred or Simon Atlas | Atlas Dov or Alice Violetta | Lucien Wilde or Lucinda Jane | Jane Lucinda or Jack Mariner | Marlowe Charles or Roscoe Thomas | Charles ' Charlie' Wallace or Marigold 'Maggie' Wynn | Eloise Lily or Elliot Darwin | Iris Cordelia or Thea Marina | Jasper Augustus or Juniper 'June' Lovelace | Julian Felix or Judah 'Jude' Reeve

As a Star Trek fan, Ryker obviously has that association for me. I like it, but in all honesty, I would never us it. It sounds trendy, and frankly like it's trying too hard to be cool. I'm sorry if that stings! Not meaning to offend, but that is my honest opinion.

I don't like it, sorry. I agree with PP that it sounds like yet another made up/trendy/wannabe cool sort of name.
