My name is Isannah Ellie Cruz nn Isa , born in Denver, Colorado and raised in Chicago, Illinois by Jill and Evan with one brother Bart and one sister Persis . After graduating from Kendall University I started working in a local art magazine and writing book reviews.

I met my husband George at age 23 at an exhibition I was invited to. As a known artist there were shown and selled about 16 of his pieces but when he had approached, I had no idea who he was. We started dating a year later and dated for three years before he proposed on Thanksgiving at my parents' house. Our small wedding was held a year later in a Hilton Hotel in Chicago. I quit my job at the magazine and we traveled in Europe for another year. When we came back George decided to open a gallery in Seattle so we moved there. We bought an american bombay cat called Peony and a golden retriver Jesse. I opened a small cafee near George's gallery and launched a woman's magazine later.

Two years later when I was 31 we decided that it was time for a baby. We TTC for another year but it didn't work. We decided that adoption is the right thing for us.

We opted for domestic adoption and just three months later the agency called and announced that we had been chosen. A 17 year old girl who came to US to study from Australia was 6 months pregnant. She couldn't afford a child and baby's father broke up with her. By coincidence she was an artist too.

After the wedding we fly to Miami for a 16 day Panama Canal cruise through Carnival. It stops at Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands; Montego Bay, Jamaica; Cartagena, Colombia; Puntarenas, Costa Rica; Puerto Vallarta, Mexico; Cabo San Lucas, Mexico; and drops us off in Los Angeles, California.
