Moms of Many--Have you ever felt "out of ideas"?

I've been fascinated with baby names ever since I was a little girl. I remember my sister and I going through a baby name book when I was about 11 years old. We each picked a boys name and a girls name from each letter of the alphabet (that's right, 52 names each) "for our future kids". LOL

That being said, real life baby-naming is not proving to be quite so easy. With each additional baby, choosing names has become progressively more difficult. We haven't saddled ourselves with any cutsy, matchy-matchy naming patterns. (Phew!) Nevertheless, each of our children so far has a name that is distinctive and meaningful, yet harmonious as a "sibling group"--and that we would like to see continue.

So, here we are, expecting baby #5. I could probably have at least 3 more boys without running out of names that I love. For girls, though, I'm running out of ideas--well, at least ideas that my husband and I can agree on. (Our baby-naming method is for me to write a short list of names on a note card for him to consider. He tells me which ones he likes, and the conversation continues from there.)

My question is for those of you who have named more than a few babies--have you ever hit a baby-naming roadblock? A point where you're just not sure you can come up with another name that you both love? If so, how did you get over it?

This happened to me when I was expecting our fourth child. We had three girls and were having great difficulty coming up with a fourth girl's name. Well, I was; my husband isn't particular about names and would have been happy with almost anything I liked. Since we didn't know the gender ahead of time, we had both a girl's and a boy's name ready. I wasn't 100% happy with our girl's choice; thankfully we had a boy!
I really think you will be able to find the right name on Nameberry. Reading the different threads and people's opinions on names has broadened my naming horizons. You will probably open your mind to names you hadn't considered before.

I'm due with #3 in 8 weeks and we have found ourselves going back to the drawing board this week as we cannot find a name that we both love and it is important for us to both love it. We have a boy and girl already and think we have found a boys name that could be 'it' lol in the past few days but girls names are proving to be a bit more tricky!
