    Getting somewhere with double middle

Narrowing down the middle name options for our daughter we are in the process of adopting. She is 17 mos old so we are keeping her first name which is Sena ( Sen-na). I've read all the negative feedback about this name ( laxative etc), but it's her name and part of her story. Also, everyone in real life I've told her name to says it's pretty.

We wanted a double middle like my son, Anna somehow, C/J , or a color name to tie her into the family. I've narrowed it down finally to some choices. One of the names doesn't meet our criteria at all, but I love it. Feel free to give feedback or suggestions. I feel like I'm finally getting down to some viable choices. My husband would really like to use Annabel as the name, or one of the names.

My son has a double middle with my single syllable Ch last name as his name. One of the poll options above for Sena.

I don't know if I would use Annabel with Sena. Sounds of very rhyme-y.

    As for "color" names....

    Maybe Lavender or Violet.

While Sena is beautiful, it does not match well with Leopold. I think giving her a new first name actually is an important part of the adoption process, where you get to welcome her into your family and give her a name. She is very young so it would not be hard on her to get a new name with your touch as a mom. Think about it...

I thought of a wonderful suggestion!

Use the name Seraphina... and her nickname would be Sena! Perfect. She would still be called Sena everyday but she has a beautiful name to write on paper and grow with in time. It is nice to give babies the option of what names/nicknames to use throughout elementary, HS, college, etc.

Also wanted to mention that Seraphina Ivy or Seraphina Rose is a beautiful combo!

Sena Rosabel Juliet just jumped out and grabbed me. I can't really explain it. But I also really love Sena Ivy Annabel.

I voted for Sena Violet Annabel, because it's very pretty and I love that you're choosing colour names to tie it in with your family (I'd love to hear more about that). I also love the idea of using your last name, though, and only didn't vote for it because I don't know exactly what it is. If you love it as a middle, I would definitely suggest using it

Thank you for the feedback. Violet Annabel is the front runner right now. I imagine calling her Sena Belle as a nickname.

Roseandlillies, that's actually against everything put out in adoption literature. Keeping their given name is the only tie to their past. If we were to re-name her we'd pick a name used in her culture: Hana. Seraphina is pretty though!

    Any other feedback?
