What do you think about nicknames for Sarah? Sadie, Sally, Sari, or Sasa? You could keep Sarah and go by a nickname, and then change your middle to something more unique!

    Sarah Alondra Martin is beautiful!

WDYT of Seraphina/Seraphine? It's not that common and you'd be able to save a part of your old FN as your mom suggests.

I like Elaine, but I know a lot of women by that name. You might find it's not that uncommon either. I really like pp suggestion of Sadie or Seraphine/a. Willow is also very pretty. You could also change your name to Sarah Guinevere or some other variation of Jennifer and go by your middle.

Perhaps you could go with the same initials. I'm sure your Mom says she's okay with you changing your name (or at least part of your name), but of course she still loves the name she originally gave you. I'm not trying to discourage you (I know the pain of having a very common name), but maybe keeping your current initials would help appease her.
Love Seraphine/Seraphina! Also Elise is very pretty.
