AT HOSPITAL! Last minute name confusion -- please help us decide!

I agree that Talbot fits better with Barclay than Spencer, but it's too closely tied to the clothing store for me to take it seriously. There was also a toy store near where I grew up called Talbot's, so maybe it just has a "store name" double whammy for me.

Decide once you meet the little guy! I think having two names you love equally but haven't decided on going into the birth is a great thing. Whichever name suits the child better can be given once you see his sweet face.

I voted for Talbot. Spencer is a bit boring next to a brother named Barclay. Hopefully the right name will come to you when you meet him. Good luck!

I prefer the look and sound of Talbot with Barclay more than the s's and e's of Spencer. However Spencer is still unique enough to fit with Barclay.
I think more of Spencers gifts than Talbot clothing, if it makes any difference :-)
Tal is a great nickname, i can picture a handsome guy in college called Tal :-)

Neither Talbot nor Barclay has ever been in the top 1000 in the U.S, whereas Spencer was in the top 100 during the early 90s. I like Talbot better with Barclay, and even without worrying about matching Barclay I think I like Talbot slightly more than I like Spencer.
