    Brother for Kasen

We are really struggling with boy names. My husband and I can agree on a whole list of girl names, but can't find anything that either of us is really sold on for boys.

Our first son is Kasen Andrew. He often goes by Kase. Because we have one of the most common last names in the US (Johnson), I want to stay away from overly popular names. Popular names that I like or names that we can't use for other reasons include Jacob, Henry, Michael, Elijah (Eli), Ryan, Carter, William (Will), and Benjamin. We both also like names that are short/strong, or that can be shortened to a nickname.

Names that either my husband or I have added to a "maybe" list include:
    Raymond(Ray) - family name
    Kennan
    Kolby (husband hates)
Vaughn (I think it sounds silly with our last name)
    Vincent (Vince)
    Vance
    Archer(Archie)
    Kamden
Kendal (I think this is more of a girls name)
    Edison
    Xavier
    Bennett
Kyler (husband is Kyle, so this might be weird)

We would greatly appreciate any comments or especially new ideas!

I love Bennett and Xavier! Bennett is soft but the -Ty ending makes it sturdy. Xavier has a lot of letters that make it sound strong- x, v, r. Xavier I can see aging better than Bennett. I would go with Xavier Johnson.

    If not, I'd recommend-

    Graham
    Leo
    Reed
    Ezra
    Dashiell
    August
    Forrest

If your husband's name is Kyle I would definitely stay away from Kyler. My son's name is Cuyler, pronounced same as Kyler, and my sister's boyfriend is Kyle and we are all constantly saying Kyle instead of Cuyler and Cuyler in stead of Kyle! It's confusing! If your husband's name wasn't Kyle then I would say go for Kyler! Kyler and Kasen sound awesome together! I always get compliments on my son's name. Of your list I like Bennett the best, followed by Archer to go well with your son's name. Another name that I think is really nice is Everett.

My favorite at this time is Xavier, but my husband doesn't like it at all. Does anyone have any other suggestions to add to our list?

Kendal still sounds boyish to me. Raymond nn Ray is one of my favorites from your list along with Kendal nn Ken.

    Other suggestions-
    Remington nn Remy
    Asher
    Finley nn Finn
    Jasper nn Jaz
    Dallas
    Rhys
    Levi
