    I think that if you are looking for:
    Ke-A-ra then you should spell it Ciara
    Keer-a would be Keira.

    As a Kira myself, I am certainly biased to this spelling. Short, simple and unfussy. Growing up, I was always complimented on my name.

    Wow yes, you are correct, thanks Renrose. My brain got ahead of my fingers there and I apparently left out a whole sentence. And on top of that, thusly spelled her name wrong...
    So I meant that if you wanted the 3-syllable name use Kiera but *not* if you want the Keira version, as in Knightley. (And as pretty as it is, I just proved my point as to why... it gets confusing!) I think Kyra or Kira is the way to go if you don't live in Ireland. =]
