The names don't necessarily have to be generic Yugoslavian (slavic) names...I just meant that he isn't against Croatian, Serbian, or Bosnian names as at the end of the day he's a hodge podge of ethnic groups so they don't have to conform to anything or nothing. Generic secular are always good, though. Of course names that are too "nationalistic" would definitely be out.....Ratko and Slobodan, etc...nothing with negative connotations.

I was surprised he liked Zlata/Zlatan since they seemed kind of out there. I thought enough Americans had read "Zlata's Diary" but maybe not.

Jugo names are so pretty - i loved reading them in Zlata's Diary. I like Charlotte Emina, Elizabeth Mirna, Madeline Alma from your choices. I'd throw in Danica, Petra, Jasmina, Zora as possible mn's for girls. If DH really likes Emily, what about using Ema or Emilija somewhere? Eloise Emilija might be cute.

For boys, i find it harder to make combos. Reid Alen or Frederick Alen are good though. I like Branko, Dejan, Marko, Neven. Theodore Neven?
