I wanted to thank you everyone for their kind messages. I am trying to hang in there and stay positive.. I have my HSG test tomorrow morning, on top of the news about DH, I am a nervous wreck about taking this test.

@alzora: They recommended a urologist for him to see. He has put off calling them the last few days- but after relentless nagging from me he promises to call today. He is not taking the news very well. He says he is heartbroken he will never be able to give me a baby (this is where is head is right now). I'm telling him he can't think that way, there is a plan for us- and we have to be strong for each other. I am staying so upbeat at home for him (even though im a sobbing mess when we aren't together).

@nessielove- Fingers crossed for you!! I hope this is your month

@casilayne: Sending you prayers, positive thoughts and love for your IUI!! I'm so excited for you!

@rachel: sorry about BFN! it is all so frustrating.

@daisychain: I'd make an app't. If it is something you are worried about it can't hurt to see someone. sending you <3

@vec1013: Good luck at your DR app't today!!

@vec1013 I am glad you are feeling better after you got some answers, and a plan of action- I am thinking about you It is amazing how good it feels to talk to someone who is also in the same TTC struggle. Your friend had a tough journey- and I'm glad that she is at peace.

@Riversong, how long is your typical cycle? If it's >28 days, there's a good chance you haven't missed ovulation yet. You'll probably get a clear positive within the next few days. Good luck!

@Rachel, is your period often late or is this a rare occurrence? The absence of your usual PMS symptoms leaves me hopeful for you yet.

@Frangipani, when is your period due? I'm glad to hear that you have peace about this cycle. I hope your patience is rewarded with a baby.

@Vedettessoir, I've never been on the pill, but after following all of the bad experiences discussed on this thread, I don't plan to ever go on it. Women should really be warned about the effects the pill can have.

@Casi, what is the process of IUI like? Are you supposed to take a day to rest? I'm glad you have such an understanding boss.

@Daisychain, I've been wondering where you were! Ugh...not another disappointment! I think you should at least call your doctor. If she tells you to just wait, you could seek out an infertility specialist yourself. But do you have any reason to believe that you're infertile? It sounds like you conceived pretty easily last time. I think you can find a specialist who will do infertility screening for you, but since you conceived quickly once, it may happen quickly again, and I'd hate to see you spend a lot of money on the tests for no reason. I understand the concern with age, though. Call your doctor! <3

@Sophie, you're absolutely right...as teens we're told that you have sex and BAM, you're pregnant. Not that way at all in real life...at least not for many of us.

@Vanessa, Saturday isn't too far away. But I definitely agree that you don't want to test too soon and see that negative. It is crushing. I hope you get your positive this weekend!

@Jessicamary, I feel like my usual PMS symptoms will start any minute too. BUT...some women say that their early pregnancy felt exactly like PMS. So don't give up just yet.

@Knitwit, how are you doing these days in terms of TTC?

@Vec, your friend sounds like a Godsend. I can't answer your questions about Metformin or Clomid, but maybe it's worth calling your OB/GYN to see what s/he thinks you should do. Good luck!

@Oosoposh, but CAN a man's sperm quality be improved? Is your husband writing himself off too soon? My heart breaks for both of you! I'm eager to hear what the urologist has to offer.

I haven't posted in awhile but thought I would do a quick update. I go back for blood work in a few weeks and start clomid/estrogen/progesterone or maybe all three based on results. How likely do you think twins are on Clomid? I have read 8-10% as compared to 1-3% in the general population. However, one source said that means 8-10% of people on clomid end up pregnant with multiples, ~30-40% with singles and the rest not pregnant at all. So that would mean almost one in four of those on clomid that do end up pregnant have multiples. Could that be right?!

Good luck and baby dust to all those trying:-)

@DaisyChain - It's hard when you're not conceiving, but given it's only been two months since your miscarriage, I'd wait. Maybe make an appointment for a chat with your doctor (I've found these very helpful in the past), but you probably only need to wait a couple more months. Maybe if nothing after a few more months, then pursue testing.
