At the end of a long stressful day, my mom is ok (off the ventilator, looped up on pain meds and now sleeping) and has a shiny new mitral valve. And my AF is manageable, if still exceptionally painful.
I meant to say earlier that aspirin is an anticoagulant. Some people take it in small doses as a blood thinner. I was taking relatively large doses and it was making me bleed an obscene and slightly scary amount. Especially annoying, messy and hard to handle when I'm on the road, using hospital bathrooms. I switched to ibuprofen and everything on that front is, if not good, at least doesn't resemble a scene from one of the Saw movies.
Adding to the stress of ttc with clomid, taking care of my mom, working and starting grad school next week, I'm supposed to be getting married in two weeks. Im not looking forward to the prospect of postponing, but im not sure if my mom will be up for a wedding so soon and I cant imagine getting married without her there.
So that's what's happening here. I haven't had a chance to read through all the recent posts, so I'll just say, I hope everyone is where they want and need to be right now in their journies. People who've never had to try to conceive a child cant understand how completely it takes over your life. I've been so caught up in wedding and baby planning, something like my mom being ill happens, and I'm completely side-swiped!Trying, trying, trying

LOL...why did none of you call me out on this?! A few days ago I referred to looking like Saskatchewan, but I definitely meant to say Sasquatch! I just repeated the same phrase to my husband, who was like, "What?!" Then he figured out what I meant, and I'm like, "...uh oh...Sasquatch is not the word I used on the TTC thread...and we have plenty of Canadians on there who would have caught that." I got my Sasses mixed up....
@Maggie, how are things looking for you today? Still spotting or has it let up?
@J_Cannoy, how about you--do you have a verdict today?
@Sarah, lol...my goodness, you do ask a lot of your husband.
@Jessicamary, I hate the SECOND half of the two-week wait, when my PMS symptoms all start to appear. That is suspenseful and devastating.
@Frangipani, how many DPO are you? When is your period due? Good luck!
@Roseymaam, than goodness your mom is okay. You really do have a lot on your plate! I forgot about aspirin being an anticoagulant (I was on it as a blood thinner for a while actually). I'm glad you've gotten things under control though!

@Alzora - I did notice, but I thought maybe some people call a Sasquatch a Saskatchewan instead. :-)
@Roseymaam - Glad to hear your mom is doing okay. That is so stressful. My heart goes out to you, and I hope you're able to figure out what to do about the wedding.
I'm now in the running for June Bug instead. My temp dropped to pre-ovulation levels this morning, so I think I'm out. These non-period AFs are a huge pain, though it could still be my body adjusting after the Pill. I'm totally feeling sorry for myself this morning, since my birthday is next week and at 33, I'll be hitting my mid-30s. Plus I'm sick, it's raining, and our team lost this morning. It's a pity party over at my place.Estella ~ Helena ~ Miriam ~ Beatrice ~ Anastasia ~ Ruby ~ Ivy ~ MarillaPaul ~ Wesley ~ Walter ~ Martin ~ Edmund ~ Fraser ~ Alexander

Awww Maggie, I'm sorry that totally sucks!! Hope you feel better soon. Btw you are not old. I hope you get super spoilt on your birthday.
Alzora, I am 7-9dpo. I keep saying I'll buy opks if it doesn't happen "this month" but I never do. Maybe I will this time (if it doesn't happen) haha. I haven't got any big symptoms yet. Felt really hot a few times yesterday and boobs seem big (but not sore). I agree that the first week of tww is alot less stressful. Enjoy it while you're still there.Mumma of 3 Angel babies, Lani (my heavenly flower), Charlie (my free little one) and Brennan (my brave teardrop) xxx

I had an appointment yesterday and have to go back on Oct. 2. Because the doctor is going to check for polyps in my uterus. Anyone know what this is called? I cannot remember for the life of me! Something about them shooting saline up there or something? :-/"Adopting one child won’t change the world: but for that child, the world will change." -- unknown
