    Does anyone else "wheel themselves out" (i.e. calculate EDD-- a term from the plastic 'pregnancy wheel' one carries in one's white coat pocket) each month? It can't be healthy, but I do.

    This month is unlikely, as husband is out of town, but if we were to be so lucky EDD would be 12/31, which is rad.

    @MrsH

    Clomid basically makes a bunch of FSH, which makes a bunch of follicles who secrete estrogen. So your circulating levels of estrogen are higher than normal. Among the many, many end-organ effects of estrogen are:

    1) gastrointestinal dysmotility-- slows down digestion and gut transit time, giving a feeling of fullness, bloating, heartburn, constipation
    2) sodium and therefore water retention-- more bloating, higher blood pressure
    3) estrogen levels are highly, highly correlated to mood (sudden withdrawal can provoke depression, can slow serotonin clearance basically reversing depression but increasing irritability)

    Yes, I totally do! If we're lucky this month, my EDD will be New Years Eve, too!

    @MrsH - Sorry you're feeling shizen. Sorry I can't say much to take away your pain. I could possibly think of a better name than Pebbles, if that's any help

    First of all, Blade, I record my BBT and other data on a site called Countdown to Pregnancy. It tells you your EDD. Mine for this cycle is 12/30. Course, don't even know if/when I will ovulate this cycle. But yes, I note the EDD every cycle. You want way sicker? I also calculate the imaginary baby's astrological sign. I don't even believe in that. But I secretly kinda do. But I totally don't! You know how it is...

    Thank you for the info! I thought Clomid had an anti-estrogenic effect. Am I confused? Or is that earlier in the cycle?

    In any case I feel like a turd sandwich.
