    So it has the same meaning as "Christine" in French - follower of Christ?
    Personally, I don't like it - but I think that Christine/Christina and the nickname Christy smacks of the late 1980's and very early 1990's. In other words, it feels dated (IMO).

    If you're in the US (I didn't notice) definitely not classy. Maybe Christabel as an alternative? That name feels more established here to me, but maybe only because I knew one, a lovely older lady.
