    Famous Sibling Sets

I've been reading a biography about Vincent Van Gogh. They mentioned his siblings names and I began to think about famous sibling sets. Pick your favorite sibling set below and add more.

Children of Theodorus Van Gogh + Anna Cornelia Carbentus:
Vincent Willem (died at birth; born exactly a year before Vincent to the day)
    Vincent Willem
    Anna Cornelia
    Theodorus (Theo)
    Elisabeth (Lies) Huberta
    Willemina (Wil) Jacoba
    Cornelius (Cor) Vincent

Children of Patrick Brontë + Maria Branwell:
    Patrick Branwell
    Emily Jane

Children of Cassandra + George Austen:
    Henry Thomas
    Francis (Frank) William
    Charles John
    Cassandra Elizabeth

Some questions about the Van Gogh names:

    1. Would you use have reused Vincent Willem to honor your first child?

    2. A lot of the Van Gogh names are repeated or feminized. Would you have done the same?

    3. Would you have given Willemina the nickname Wil? Do you think that the names are surprisingly "masculine" in that they are merely feminine forms? (Something we don't see that often when it comes to Willemina and Jacoba).

    4. Any additions or comments are welcome.

    1. I wouldn't have reused the name.

    2. Yes I would, but only like the Van Gogh's did, such as one have the middle name (Willem) and the other the first name form (Willemina). I wouldn't use both forms as first names!

    3. No - I would have called her Mimi. I don't find them masculine.

I've always adored the Austens' names The Van Gogh sibset is interesting. I don't think I would have used the exact same name as my first child, but probably would honour them in some way. I'm not a fan of all the repetition in general, actually, with Willem and Willemina, Cornelius and Cornelia etc. I do think Willemina nn Wil is sweet though, kind of unexpected and refreshing, and Elisabeth nn Lies is darling.
