Welcome Rollo. Of course you're not obligated to love it, but I hope you get a better feel for the beauty of the name.

I love Snowdon with Orpheus. It feels right to me. I like Orpheus Snowdon Marinell, Orpheus Jesper Snowdon, Orpheus Tristram Snowdon, Orpheus Baldur Snowdon, and Orpheus Beren Snowdon.

For nature boys names you might like:

Larkspur -- people will say "girl" but I know a boy Lark and now I love Lark on a boy and I think this is edgy enough for a boy.
Edelweiss -- again, might sound too "girly" for some, but I love it for a boy
Cypress -- I know a boy named Cypress
    Caraway
    Zephyr
    Coriander
    Oleander
    Thyme
    Florin
    Solstice
    Vermillion
    Kestral
Thistle -- this has such a cool sound to me
    Valerian
    Moonstone
    Goldfinch
Sunglow (you've got some beautiful wintery names on your girls list, so maybe a sunny one for boys?)
    Nimbus
    Snapdragon -- very cool!
    Eventide
    Foxglove
    Azurite
    Silvermist

Do you like any of those?

Building off dantea's list of nature/sun names, I really like

Cyrus: one of the meanings of it is "sun"
Samson: one of its meanings is sun as well. For whatever reason I have always loved Samson much more than Samuel.
    Heath
    Cedar
    Oren - means "pine tree."
    Elon/Ilan - "oak tree"
Hawthorn - I really love Hawthorn.
Hemlock - A tree, though the poisonous quality is a bit loaded. I think they are gorgeous trees and find Hemlock more accessible than Sherlock though.

Otter, I'm so excited for Altair and Remiel...they are both so unique and beautiful, and fit well with Endymion, Herne, and Orpheus, without any name sounding like the others! You've come so far!

As for nature-y middle ideas, I'm loving pp's suggestions of Larkspur, Cypress, Oleander, Thyme, Solstice, Kestrel, Valerian, Nimbus, Snapdragon, Cedar, Oren, and Hawthorne (although I prefer this spelling because the literary connection in addition to the nature vibe makes it a double-whammy of awesome!) I also think you should definitely bring back Siderion!

    Balsam
    North
    Glacier
    Echo
