What about Emmeline, as a more distinctive version of Emily?

My name is Emily, and I absolutely hate it. A very pretty name, but was almost a mistake after I was born! (Neither of my parents had considered the name, and was a total spur of the moment thing at the hospital!)

What was said above is completely true, it's popularity means that you don't stand a chance when stood in a shopping centre, I hear 'Em' being called constantly! I was never nicknamed 'Millie', but 'Emmy' instead- so that's another one to consider. It's too frilly for me personally, but I think the one syllable double-barrel is a great idea (I have no middle names either, which is a bummer!)

Just some food for thought, I know a million:

    Emily Kate's
    Emily May's
    Emily Rose's
    Emily Jane/Jayne's
    and one Emily Grace

All roughly my age (born 1990-1996 ish)
