    Weather Channel's Winter Storm Name List

    With the new nor'easter sitting over NYC, Weather Channel just released a list of the names it plans to give to winter storms this year. (Side note: when did they start giving names to winter storms in the NE?). Anyway, list is pretty cool.

    Thanks for posting the list -- I didn't see it yet! We wrote something for the Weather Channel on the name Sandy and hope to contribute the Nameberry view on the names.

    Whoa, there are some seriously awesome names on this list! Xerxes, Triton, Zeus, Khan and Brutus sound like EPIC snowstorms! Yogi, Iago and Virgil just sound really really cold and icey. Luna and Nemo however, sound really cosy. Interesting! Thanks for posting the list!
