My favorite word name for a boy is Ransom (I also like that it has history as a surname.) I also like Deliverance, Temple, and Priestly, off the top of my head.
One of my favorite word name ideas is to use the names of herbs, spices or grains. There are so many lovely-sounding ones!--Rosemary, Thyme, Sage (like the song!), Tarragon, Chervil, Caraway, Rye, Basil, Bay, Cilantro, Marjoram, Juniper, Cardamom, Cinnamon, Clove, Coriander, Ginger, Pepper, Saffron...
I also have a list of word name ideas which I do not now remember where I found. I copied them out by hand, choosing the ones I liked best, and it is now a list I love to read for fun. Some of them really would make cool names. Here goes (it's long):
Archer (not so uncommon now)
Camomile (forgot that in my spice list above!)
Traveler"He telleth the number of the stars; He calleth them all by their names."
Tobias Rory Benjamin ~ Crispin Isaiah ~ Ransom Horatio ~ Lucius Olórin ~ James Deliverance
Una Marguerite/Oona Sylvestra ~ Jessamyn Agnes ~ Branwen Evangeline ~ Alice Emmanuelle ~ Christiana Linnet

Wow, lots of good ones already (and by "good" I mean words that never occurred to me as names but could easily fit in to the word name trend). Someone mentioned Cirrus in another thread, and I thought that was pretty good.
Color (I see lots of color names, but never "color" itself)
