Strong boy names (that aren't too harsh)
Hi,
Can anyone suggest some unique or creative names for a little boy? I struggle with boy names more than girls and my husband seems to vito most of my suggestions. So, incase our little doughnut turns out to be a boy, I would like to get the ball rolling for some names. I like strong names for boys, but nothing too 'out-there' or too hard (it needs to suit a little boy after all).
My husband wants Malcolm in their somewhere, after his dad. It wouldn't be my choice, but I do like the idea of honoring the name and I know it would make grandpa very happy. So I'm thinking Malcolm as a third name. So two names that work together would be much appreciated. ____ _____ Malcolm (followed by our surname)
I also like Irish/celtic and Biblical names - but uncommon ones. I'm just not very good at the name thing.
Here are some of the names I like, but a few have been vetoed:
Myles
Hudson
Hawthorne
Hunter
Blake
Knox
opinions? please feel free to suggest anything.Last edited by marshalla; September 20th, 2012 at 07:30 AM.

I'm not so good with combos, but my all time fave Bible name is Reuben! Unfortunately I can never use as a first name as it has negative associations for my husband..
Some other cool Bible names:
Ephraim
Thaddeus
Malachi
Jethro
Phineas
I'm not much help with Celtic names either sorry...I do love Hudson
Orion and Saxon also come to mind
Good luck!

Although I am not religious in any capacity, I have always had profound respect for the names Jacob and his wives chose for their children--they are all so interesting and most are underused! Of those sons' names, I suggest for you:
Reuben
Simeon
Zebulun
Levi
Other awesome biblical names:
Solomon
Saul
Simon
Silas
Abel
Enoch
Gideon
Matthias
Thaddeus
Samson
Bartholomew
Ezrah
Simon Ezrah Malcolm lastname is the combo that popped into my mind first! Good luck
Currently crushing on:
Marshall. North. Sawyer.
Ariadne. Phillipa. Diana.
