I know my boyfriend really likes the name Jenna, which surprised me cause he'd never mentioned it until I asked him what his top 3 names were. The other two were ones I already know, I can't recall them at the moment. (It's 3AM over here. lol)

I know he really likes Victoria (it was his suggestion), and Alexia (probably due to his cousin Elexa). He adores Charlotte.

For boys he's more bold, he loves history and Rome so most of the names he suggests are Roman or tied to historic figures, usually generals/soldiers/etc.
I remember he's asked about adding:
Aurelia - for a girl, lol
    Cato
    Theodoric
Colm - Don't know where that one came from.
    Damon
    Leo - cause he's a Leo

He's jokingly suggested naming our first son after his best friend, Mark. I remember a few years back when we first started talking about names, he liked the idea of giving a daughter Berlin as her middle, he's of primarily German ancestry and very proud. lol He also like Kaiser in the middle for a boy, the working combos at the time were Alexia Berlin, and Ryan Kaiser. His style is actually more nameberryish than mine most times.

My OH has an incredibly boring name style. Basically he would be happy calling any children Michael and Sarah.
And obviously those names are fine, long history etc. But my god they are dull.

I like names like Hermione and Aurelia for girls and Jasper,Aneurin,Torin for boys.

Honestly have no idea how we would compromise if/when we have children. I think he's boring and he thinks I'm gauchely pretentious. Apparently genuinely liking less common names is pretentious! I feel like saying to him "I read books,so shoot me".

The list is here, and he's got decent taste. He doesn't like my greek mythology names and Vesper was shut down pretty quick.
He seems to like "cuter" names than I do, at least for girls. And he wants to name our babies after musicians (Bob! Dylan! Bruce!) or literary characters/writers.

My husband liked Emily and Rebecca. So I guess he's more classic in style. He hates names that sound made up (Brodyn for example, our neighbor's son) or that are too long (like Penelope).

Lol, well if he wants to spell it like the chick on the show, he's still spelling it wrong. Correct me if I'm wrong, but he's talking about the new Avatar show, right? It's called Avatar: The Legend of Korra. It's spelled with a K and TWO R's. It's a made-up spelling, so there's no etymology behind it. I watched an interview where the writers decied to spell it that way because she's from the Water Tribe and all those from the Water Tribe have a specific spelling/pattern to their name...the girls names start with a K and all names have a repeating letter...Katara, Sokka, Korra.

DH and I don't agree on names. It's very hard for us to. We have 3 boys names that we agree on - Josiah, Maddox, & Kainoa.

For boys, he likes extremely masculine sounding (to him) names that are strong or represent some sort of strength. His all time favorite boys name is Justus. I hate it. I refuse to use it. So it's out. Just like my all time favorite boys name is out - Aeson - because he hates it and refuses to use it.

For girls...he has no girl names. He just can't even come up with any. But he's okay with Alba, so that's the one we're going with if we have a little girl.

Only names I know my boyfriend likes are Katherine for a girl and Michael for a boy, so I'm assuming classic from that. I'm alright with that because that's more my style as well so hopefully we can find some common ground on names that actually work with his surname. Oh, and he doesn't like the name Vivian on a girl because he had a male relative with that name.
    Samuel . Thomas . Charlie . Reuben . Oliver . George
    Anna . Phoebe . Imogen . Emilia . Lydia . Madeleine

Dh and I largely disagree when it comes to names. His favorites are the following.
    Girls
    Peyton
    Madison
    Mackenzie
    Jessica
Lou (he is willing to settle for Louisa or Lucy)

    Boys:
    Jackson
    Matthew
    Cyrus
    Jason

He is adamantly against any name that he perceives as "a stripper name", however the criteria for that category are unclear to me. He also fears that our future son will get picked on if we choose a "weird" name. I am of the opinion that he will probably get picked on because he is genetically predisposed to be 6 foot tall, 130lbs, and a mathlete. But he'll survive, we both did.

I have no SO, but have guy friends. I had the
name talk with one a while back. He laughed at
my choices & didn't take my others that
seriously. Then, I kid you not, he told me he
    liked the name Boris....

    *sigh*
