    Give me some names...

That you RARELY hear in real life or see on forums like nameberry. I keep seeing Cordelia and Persephone EVERY where, and I really want an extremely uncommon name for my baby....and go!

Not sure where it is, but nameberry has a link to the US social security list for names beyond the top 1000, that's a good place to start.
If you don't find any there, maybe try something ethic, or for example an Ancient Rome name?
I have also read some great uncommon Biblical names, such as Keziah, Jemima, Keturah and others... Good luck

I like pp suggestions of Delphine and Nealy (thinking Valley of the Dolls!) While I feel like I do see Delphine occasionally on Nameberry, I'd never heard of it before I came on here and I've definitely never seen it used IRL.
Name of the day: Rosemary Helene
May, Henrietta, Iris, Josephine, Eve, Martha, June, Georgia, Susannah
Raphael, Leopold, Roderick, Gideon, Ulysses, Woodrow, Benedict, Edmund

@alzora RE: Minette, you're never going to see this as a name because it's not used for people unless as a nn (usually between lovers though sometimes family), it is used for cats because it means pussycat but it's also be used to imply cunnilingus (faire minette) which makes it even less usable imo.

Sorry I know I can be critical about names and even say some aren't usuable but this one is my number 1 completely unusable for a real given name.

I would never use Jemima d/t the terrible connotations it has. But I like Keturah. Keturah is really nice!

I have Augustus and Julius on my list in terms of Roman names.
