Yes, I agree with looking at the SSA list. I know one Cordeilia who is in her 20's (and was named after her grandmother)and no Persephone's, but both are cool names. I also think that once you really like a name, you see it *everywhere* (there is some sort of pyschologial theory on this...when you like/do/went through something this pops up all over the place). I know 2 of my kids do not have first names in the top 1000, but, they are familiar enough names (well, Linus is
) that they do sound common enough to most people if that makes sense.
Married to my love since August 2001

My much loved, well thought out, chosen for meaning named crew:
Sebastian Elihu (7/02)
Bronwen Eliza (2/04)
Linus Ezra Graham (9/06)
Violet Leona (1/09)
and one named with help of nameberry, Wolfgang Levi (3/13)!
Always missing our Felix Emmanuel (10/10-10/10)

I'm seeing Cordelia and Persephone everywhere! It is nuts. I will probably use them though. I also like Isadora, Guinevere and Seraphina (I see Seraphina everywhere), as well as Hermione.
I LOVE Linus. Linus and Felix and Violet are awesome!
But I do think Persephone and Cordelia have gotten to be very popular via web.
