    Need a sister for Noemi

My fiancé and I both fell in love with Noemi Angeli. It is easily pronounced in English and Spanish (without being obviously Spanish) and this is a must for us. The combo doesnt sound as pretty in English, but as we wont be using her middle name that often we went for it Now she needs a sister.

I love Emily Celeste as it would honor my great grandmother and grandmother but my cousin got the jump on me and named her daughter Emilia. I feel as it would be too close. Also, as a sibset Noemi and Emily share the same "emi" sound.

My fiancé like Eden, but it sounds not so pretty in Spanish (eh-den). And I don't really like Celeste as a first name. Our last name begins with an "ah" sound so we are avoiding names that end in a.

Any suggestions? We are really stumped.

Paloma! It was the first thing that came to mind when I saw the title of the thread. Noemi & Paloma are adorable together! Paloma Celeste is pretty.

I think Paloma is so pretty! Unfortunately, it ends with the same sound as the first syllable my soon-to-be last name! It seems to be that I love every name that ends with that "ah" sound, but when paired with the last name, it doesn't work. In Spanish, it almost works, but with the way most people pronounce the last name in English, it just sounds like one smushed name.

I think you could still honor your grandmother and great-grandmother with Noemi. It has the "em" in there and you could call her "Emme" if your cousin's Emilia isn't already called Emmy/Emme.

    Maybe:
    Noemi Angeli and Elena Celeste
    Noemi Angeli and Maya Celeste
Noemi Angeli and Esme Celeste (might be too close)
    Noemi Angeli and Aurora Celeste
    Noemi Angeli and Renata Celeste
    Noemi Angeli and Bianca Celeste
    Noemi Angeli and Daniela Celeste
    Noemi Angeli and Inez Celeste
    Noemi Angeli and Viviana Celeste

I LOVE Noemi. It is my favorite girl name ever and is my daughter's middle. Avoiding girl names in Spanish that end with "a" is tricky, and something we were trying to do for baby #3.

    So, Noemi and
    Ines
    Pilar
    Maripaz
    Marisol
    Luz
    Penelope
    Gladys
    Carmen
    Isabel
    Belen
    Mercedes
    Iris
    Beatriz
    Rosario
    Soledad
    Guadalupe
    Dolores
    Consuelo

Some of these are more usable than others! Sister combos I really like are Noemi and Iris, Noemi and Ines, Noemi and Carmen, Noemi and Marisol, and Noemi and Beatriz.

    Inés Magdalena (2013)
We are done having babies, but other names I love are: Eloísa Pilar, Elena Beatriz, Agustín Ulises, and Félix Ignacio

@aguafresca-- Lucía Noemí is beautiful. I love it. And the Beatriz suggestion... we might be on to something here... it didn't get the "eww" face from the fiance...

All of these names are so pretty! But the fiancé refuses to let go of Eden! And I'm seriously crushing on Beatriz but spelled Beatrice. Do you think Eden Beatrice is a nice match? And with Noemi Angeli? And pronounced in Spanish?

Definitely go with Eden Beatrice! It's so pretty and pairs well with Noemi Angeli. I don't think it's a big deal if it doesn't sound as nice in Spanish. What will probably happen is her name will be transformed into Edenita anyway. lol At least that's what happens to all the girls in my family- Annita, Nicolita, Rebekita, Sophita, etc....
