    Twin names- Cecelia and . . . ?

We are still working on twin names for both genders, but i'm focusing on girls because that's what I'm secretly praying for! The middle names would be for their grandmas, so Catherine and Lynn (or it could be some variation of Lynn-Lynae, Lynette, etc.). We tend to like names that have a slightly vintage feel, buy aren't too 80-year old lady. We also would like both names to have a nickname if possible. We don't want something super popular--aka, Ava why did you get so popular?!?!

We think Cecelia is lovely, but I can't think of a perfect name to go with it that is not too match matchy. Also, I hate the meaning of Cecelia, but I'm trying to get over that!

With those guidelines, what do you think would be the perfect girl names?

Presumably you'd pair Cecilia with Lynn and Catherine with something else. I'd suggest something shorter so the girls have approximately equally lengthened names - you wouldn't want to end up with Io Lynn and Cecilia Catherine as twins. I'd find that odd.
    How about:
    Iris
    Mauve
    Isla
    Esme
    June
    Juno
    Mae
    Posey
    Zoey
    Aurelia - Coralie - Elva - Illyria - Lorelei - Loretta - Merida - Ofelia/Ophelia - Tabitha - Viola - Wisteria
    Alaric - Anton - Emmett - Erich - Felix - Hugo - Ludwig - Oscar/Osgar - Tristan - Victor - Vincent

I always thought if I had twin girls I would name them Abigail and Amelia. It's the names of the sister geese in the movie aristocats- kinda weird but I love how they are both names that seem vintage but not old lady, ya know?Abigail Lynn and Amelia cathrine sound great to me! Anyway, Congrats!

Have you considered Celia? It has a different, nicer meaning than Cecelia.

I would pair Celia with Liesel
    and
    Cecelia with Tabitha.

    Welcome to Nameberry!

    My recommendation is ...

    Cecilia [and] Lavinia

    [or]

    Cecilia [and] Priscilla

... a sibset comprised of equivalent Latin names [traditional spellings].

Anneliese was the first name that popped into my head. Cecilia/Celia Catherine and Anneliese Lynn. Cici and Annie/Anne/Anna.
