    Names with spunk!

DH and I are trying to make a list of names with a lot of spunk for our little girl due in November. Would love to hear what names you all think suggest a girl with a lot of sass. Names we have on the list thus far are:

    Beatrix
    Vivienne
    Olive
Clementine (we're divided on this one)
    Frances

Let me know if you agree that the above names are spunky and if you have ideas of your own. Thanks!

Writer "mom" of three fabulously named girls (Dahlia, Imogen, and Elliott) and two boys (Finn and Jethro/Jet); real-life mom to Scottie dog fur-child, Eagan Fitzgerald.

Soon-to-be adoptive mom of a South Korean cutie named Desmond (or possibly Colm???). Follow our adoption story at www.tolovearose.com.

Fave girl names: Maeve, Talullah, Roisin, Saoirse, Fionnuala
Fave boy names: Desmond, Colm, Finn, Hugo, Milo, Django

I think "spunky" is a subjective thing, often based on people/characters we know with those names, but here's a list of names I like and find spunky

    Darcy
    Gemma
    Juniper
    Lark
    Raven
    Zoe
    Zara
    Piper
    Noelle
    Farrah
    Coral
    Avery
    Winter
    Pepper
    Echo
    Maple
    Clover

Apparently nature names are the spunkiest to me
    Livy/Lucy : Geneva/Gwen : Coralie/Alice : Noelle/Eve
    Eli/Bennett : Jude/Zane: Luke/Leo : Levi/Phineas

Thanks for everyone's opinions. I like so many of them but especially love:

    Roxie
    Lux
    Margot
    Gemma
    Pepper
    Xanthe
    Eliza
    Ione
    Eloise
    Esther
    Cecily

I think realistically my "spunky" name will be used in the middle spot as we've fallen in love with Cora for the first name, but it's important to me to give my girl a really great middle. I'm loving Ione, am going to pitch it to my husband tonight!
