    5 sisters... 1800's!!

I really need some fancy long names, with short spunky nicknames that you wouldn't normally see for that name.. It is for a book idea with 5 sister aged 13-17.

    Ideas:

    Cordelia nn Del
    Cecelia
    Felecity nn Flick or Liss
    Elizabeth nn Zabby, Izzy
    Evangeline nn Ange
    Genevieve nn Viv, Eve

    any more ideas??

    Thanks Berries,

    ~Jasmine

My cousin's name is Genevieve but she goes by Ivy. I think that's a cute nickname that could definitely work!

Do you think I could use Carlotta nn Lottie or Carlo?? I know its Italian, and its a very English story.

@lita28: I might used Elizabeth nn Betty!!
@buttonhead101: Thanks a lot hun!! It really helps

Funnily enough I created an Elizabeth as a character when I was younger who went by a different nickname every school year. Zab was one I came up with.

Long, older names with unexpected nicknames, hmm... trying not to repeat names already suggested.

    Cassandra - Candy
    Caroline - Oli/Roly
    Rosemary - Rory/Romy
    Eleanor - Lenny
    Dorothy - Ro, Dora
    Florence - Ren
    Victoria - Tor/Tori/Ria

I don't think you could use Carlotta as a name for an 1800s English girl unless there's some Italian heritage in there. Names from other nationalities weren't very common at that time. If you like Lottie, Charlotte would work.
