    Her name is Georgina, though.

I actually love George for a fn for a little girl. You could go with Georgiana, Georgie, or Gigi too - all good choices IMO.

Sorry, I know a lot of you like the female versions of George, but I don't. I'm fully aware that Georgia is the feminine version but I just don't like it. Which is why I asked about George. I love George and since I was a little girl I've wanted to use George as a mn for a girl. I always thought it was maybe a little too strange and realized most people wouldn't like it but lately it seems like male names in the middle spot for girls is becoming more and more acceptable. I personally know 2 little girls with the middle name James, Carson Daly just used Jones and I've heard of girls with the mn Michael before. I was just curious whether or not other people felt that a male name in the middle spot was more acceptable now than maybe it was in the past. The female versions are not an option for me because I love George so much.

I've actually seen George used as a middle name for a little girl. Her name is Henrietta George.

    I really like it.

    Sylvie George would be fantastic!

I think it's really cute for a girl, but then again I love traditionally masculine names for girls. The main girl in Dead Like Me's name is Georgia but they all call her George anyway. I like it either as a first name or middle name. I say if you love it, use it. I am dead set on using Emerson for my little girl's name (fingers crossed, ha) when I know people are pretty divided on that name too.

I don't understand the point in asking for opinions if you're dead set on using the name anyway.
You asked, the general consensus was it wasn't a good idea.

I'm not dead set on using George. I'm set on using George instead of a female version if I use it at all. The point of my question was to see if in comparison to James, Jones, Michael, etc.... if George was still too weird.

I'm glad you're going to use it (if you choose to honour George.) Invariably, some people won't like it and find it weird. Atticus is a Berry favourite - some people won't like that and will find it weird. Some people will love it. I quite like George as a mn for a girl - and one day I'd consider George as a mn for a boy. I don't see the big deal - it's just in the middle name spot. Compared to James, Jones and Michael, it's not weird to me, it's just people honouring family members. Names like that on girls would only be problematic as a fn.

Will be rooting for Sylvie George! ^^
