Gwendolen is a beautiful romantic name! You need ones that can match Gwendolen.

My votes are for Aurora and Lorelei. The other names are far to common imo.

Are you looking for more choices?

I do not like Matilda - with Gwendolen or alone or with any other name.
Gwendolen is beautiful and classic and it conjures visions of strength and ethereal beauty. A pretty and smart woman.
If you had a professor Gwendolen works and it's also a lovely blind date name.

Matilda? NO. I see it as a lunch lady, house maid and is a different name from Gwendolen in every way. I know that Nameberries like Matilda - but remember the world is not made made up of Nameberries.

Two siblings, to girls with names that conjure up such dramatically different images would be bad for two sisters. Psychologically.

Of your names Lorelei Laura and Aurora.

Other ideas - Caroline , Madeleine, Bronwen, Rhianna, Georgina, Veronique, Juliette. None are over used and they are all pretty strong and smart.
