Nameberry trends
There are some names which seem to be super popular on Nameberry but then unheard of in real life..
I've heard so many berries with children named/considering the names Beatrix and Cordelia, but met no kids with either name IRL!
And funnily enough, I don't hear Lionel talked about much on Nameberry, but I have met/heard of two little Lionels (!!) since the birth of mine just over a year ago..
Do you think the Nameberry trends will catch on?
What do you think influences the NB trends? This is a question which particularly intrigues me!
Hoping some of you have opinions on this one!mum to the lovely Harriet Katia (10) Beatrix Liv (6) and Cordelia Joyce (4) and Lionel Rafferty (1 whole year already)

I think that the Blog influences a lot of the NB trends...many of Nameberry's users read it, and it mentions a lot of awesome names sometimes

Are you talking about actual children named certain names or theoretical combos thrown out in threads? I think there is a diffetence between the two...however, I do notice names used here that I never hear irl. Diversity of location along with the fact that I think the average name lover likes the classy, unusual and meaningful.

I think Nameberry trends will take a while to catch on IRL, because most of the population aren't name nerds like us. :P
Most people around me have no clue what the top names actually are nor do they really care interestingly enough.
I think name forum trends are pretty safe from the general public, a lot of people I know name from names they encounter or the fair few use name books.2O - Aries - Slytherin - Daycare Assistant Teacher
