    Do you like feminizations?

    I realize some people prefer for girls to have a girly name without shortening it down to a boys for a nickname. I was wondering what your opinion was on these kind of names?

    I don't have an overall opinion. Like for Alexandra I love the nn Alex rather than something girly like Lexi, Alexa, etc. I guess it depends on what nicknames I like for that particular name for me.

    The feminizations I like involve making the name longer...

    Wilhelmina
    Henrietta

    Some I like and some I don't, it depends on the style of the name. Theodora is an example of one I don't like.

    I like Alexandra, Antonia, Augusta, Charlotte, Harriet, Josephine (my favorite), Justine, Louise/Louisa, Mattea/Matthea, and Willa. So yes, generally I do like feminizations.

    I love a lot of feminizations- Antonia, Charlotte, Harriet, Henrietta, Josephine, Louisa, Willa, and Wilhelmina. I think tomboy nicknames can be cute too.

    i love Samantha and the nicknames Sammy/ie and Sam. i also love Georgina with the nickname Gina - but i don't like Georgie or George as nicknames. i also love Louise, but prefer it as a middle name. i do not like Wilehlmina, Theodora, Henrietta, Harriet to name a few. so i guess i have some feminisations i love, but in general i am not such a fan...

    I like some feminizations - I like Cecilia and Charlotte. For the most part, I don't like feminizations.
