    How to pronounce Leona?

This a new favorite, but there's two pronounciations that I know of: LAY-oh-na and LEE-oh-na
Which is right? Which is more common? Opinions on the name Leona?

I like Lay-ona much better. Not sure which is more correct.

It's Lee-oh-na. No one ever says it the other way, it's not an option....would never be pronounced that way. Sorry! I know quite a few Leona's.

I have no idea but my friends have a dog named Leona and say it "lee oh na", I think Leona Lewis and Leona Helmsley also prn it this way.

I also really like it as Lee-on-a but mostly because my grandfather's name its Leon (Lee-on)
I have completely random and eclectic taste in everything, including names.
