Thanks for all the replies. You guys have the same thoughts as me, actually. For the most part I love Samuel. I do agree the biblical/traditional / classy vibe is hard to beat.
I like Layton too, although not quite as much as Samuel. I like the spelling Leighton better too, but that is very feminine to me, so it's not an option. I like Leighton spelled this way more for a girl.
Waylon I agree is too much, but I wanted to get some opinions on it anyway.. I think it's a cute name, but just not so much with our surname. I appreciate your advice!!
If you have any other suggestions, feel free to let me know! thanks!

Samuel definitely gets my vote, hands down.
Layton comes in 2nd, and a distant 3rd would be Waylon.

Samuel is for sure the best. While reasonably popular, the name is strong, handsome, professional, and comes with the cute nn Sam. Layton looks very made up to me and I would immediately group it with the trendy and misspelled group. Waylon could be ok (although I personally don't like it very much) but your last name should immediately take it out of the running

I have to go with Samuel as well. Its a wonderful classic, and I love it paired with Garrison.

I too like Samuel Garrison best! Samuel Woolf just sounds so rugged and manly while it could still be cool and professional.

Layton Graham is alright. It just doesnt flow well for me. I like the name Layton and I like the name Graham but I just always saw Graham as a girl's name and since Layton is unisex I think it sounds a bit more like a girls name... Sorry!

Waylon is just totally not my style and it seems kind of like a last name to me. If you were going to use it I would much perfer Wayland like one of the previous posters mentioned. But in general I just don't really like it.

    Hope this helped!

I think Samuel Woolf sounds really solid and classic. That being said - I love, love Waylon. I happen to be a huge Waylon Jennings fan but even despite that I think Waylon Woolf sounds oh so cool! I don't think its strange at all - I love it. It kind of depends if you lean towards classic/traditional or cool and unusual.

Layton just doesn't do much for me - I also knew a Layton that was a girl so I have trouble associating this name with a boy. I don't hate it - but it doesn't jump out at me like Waylon. Best of luck, congrats!!
