Fierro! can it work in my sibset?
Hello Berries,
I am trying to add more boys names to my list. Fierro means Iron in spanish, which i like. I am worried it may sound too similar to my sons name Miró (mih row). thoughts? We also like Galileo but i am afraid it may be too similar to my daughters name, Lila (leelah). Am I over thinking?
Names we had on the list for Miró
Zephyr
Basil- DH hates
boaz- i love Beau names DH dislikes
hendrix- too trendy
Django- worried about popularity as a movie w this title is set t release soon
Laszlo- love but would rather not repeat letter and i already have an L
moses/moss- ditto already have an M

I love Fierro, but it does sound very close to your other son's name. I think Django is a great choice, and I wouldn't worry about the popularity. It will never be super mainstream.
Cora Vespertine
Ivy Beatrix • Adlai Wolf

I love Zephyr (it's on my short list too) and Laszlo. I wouldn't worry about repeating a letter since you didn't use the same letter for both of your other kids. Unless you already had two L kids, I wouldn't even notice. Django is nice too, and I think both Laszlo and Django are with fitting w/ their artistic connotations.

I wouldn't choose Fierro! It's too close to Miró and for me the meaning is a big turn down. Spanish is such a popular language nowadays and it's odd to be called Iron...
Hendrix is my favorite of your list and I don't think it's popular. And it fits really well with Miró and Lila!!
Zephyr it's really nice too!

thank you all for your insight! My youngest is names Paloma had she been a boy her name would have been Django. the only other boys name we agree on is RIO but thats way too close to Miró
Lucialucentum- Miró was named for the painter Joan Miró. I do like Gael but i am very concerned about it being pronounced like Gail.
Maria- I actually like that it means Iron. Miró"s name means "to have seen" in spanish and it doesnt bother me at all. I am glad that you like Hendrix.
nat108- the problem is that most names i like are O heavy!
Elrama- i am super sensitive the repeating letters as me and all my sibling had M names. However i also do not want to cross a name off my list just cause 2 of my 4 kids will share an L.
Sugarfoot- i love django

Ah, gotcha. Joan Miró's second surname, oddly enough, was Ferrà.
Where are you living? I can't see Gael being much more difficult than Miró or Lila, honestly. I feel like Gael García Bernal is pretty famous and most people have heard his name before.
I was about to suggest Pau, but with a Paloma, I'm not sure that'd work. I think Pau is awesome, though.
Laszlo is pretty cool, and I'm totally in love with Lázaro.
What about Yago, Oriol, Eneko, Roc or Roque (in place of Rio, perhaps?), Imanol?Lucia
