I like PPs ideas of Olive, Juniper, and Sally.

I think a one or three syllable name (depending on where emphasis falls) will sound better with Posey. I love the ideas of Hazel and Sadie, but they rhyme too much with Mabel for my taste.

    Other thoughts:
    Jane
    Frances
    Phillipa (nn Pippa)
    Grace
    Martha
    Getrude (nn Trudy, so cute!)
    Marguerite
    Virginia
    Georgia
    Winifred

The first thing that came to mind was:
Mabel Mazarine & Cora Clementine. This is actually the name of another berry's dd. Sorry Sarahsays! I'm not stealing the idea, but I do think it would be a great sib set.
    Cora Vespertine

    Ivy Beatrix Adlai Wolf

Eden also has the 'up to date' nn of Edie that you like, although I think Mabel and Edith sounds gorgeous! Some others with Edie nicknames are:
    Eda
    Edana
    Edeline
Since I love Mabel, I'll suggest some of my other faves:
    Eliza
    Nora
    Lucia
    Nellie
    Stella
    Violet
    Freya
    Adeline

Good luck, let us know what you choose!

I actually know a family with a Mabel and a June!

Mabel and Juniper would be sweet- but I like Mabel and Juno even more!

    Mabel and Elodie
    Mabel and Nancy
    Mabel and Wren
Mabel and Harriet (Mabes and Hattie- so sweet!)

Oh, just read your last post and have to say- If you don't want to go for another fusty name to go with Mabel, I would strike off Beatrix for sure, and maybe even Edith!
The others on your list strike a less 'matchy' chord, in that they aren't 'fusty stylish' but are more stylish vintage...weird way of explaining myself but hopefully you get what I mean.

    Other 'stylish' names:

    Mabel and Lilac
    Mabel and Xanthe
    Mabel and Bryony/Briony
    Mabel and Celeste
    Mabel and Clara
    Mabel and Livia
    Mabel and Adelie
Mabel and Coralie (I think French names sound beautiful alongside a Mabel)
    Mabel and Anouk
    Mabel and Sasha
    Mabel and Brigitte (Bridie)
    Mabel and Neve
Mabel and Sorcha (Anglicized Celtics choices)

And the Berries come through yet again! We love so many of these suggestions, and we've narrowed our list down to a few names (and variations).

    Right now, we really love:

Cora Clementine (but if Sarahsays is uncomfortable with us using the name, we won't)
    Coralie Clementine
    Cora Poesy
    Juno Poesy
Primrose Poesy (would Romy work as a nickname for Primrose? If not, we like Rosie, too.)
    Lilac Poesy

    Thanks!
