    Name a puppy!

Grandma just got a new puppy and needs some help naming him. He is a pure black Yorky/Norfolk terrier mix. He will be about 3-7 lbs full grown. He is very sweet, cuddly and a little shy.

Here are some names under consideration:

    Nike
    Smudge
    Grizzle
    Rolex
    Fidget
    Gunga Din
    Corker
    Kong
    Frolic

    Any fresh ideas?
Mom to Henry, Mollie, Gideon, and a yet-to-be-named bulge (11/13).

Frolic is sorta cute. I'm not fond of most of the others.

Sable - I've always liked this for black animals
Jett - also with the black theme, but fun
    Coal -
Nigel - another one meaning black, not sure how you feel about human names, I think it could be cute
    Diablo - devil
    Edgar

Jinx/Nix/Pax - generally I like any animal name with an x in it

Pepper - less creative but still a cool name
    Livy/Lucy : Geneva/Gwen : Coralie/Alice : Noelle/Eve
    Eli/Bennett : Jude/Zane: Luke/Leo : Levi/Phineas

I like Frolic the best. Terriers have a lot of energy and they're very lively so I think Frolic would be a great choice.
    All the best,
    Mischa.

    I like Fidget

If I were to get another puppy (our dog is named Maggie -my DH named her and it suits her but is not very creative!), I would name him/her after a hobbit... especially if he's not prone to growing very large:
    Pippin
    Merry
    Frodo
    Bilbo
    Samwise
    Smeagle

My mom will be getting a puppy in the next few weeks and she asked me to make her a list of possible names for him or her. Here's my list (some of these names have associations to things I like in my life, and I don't know how relevant they'll be to you, but it's worth a try!)

Calcifer - The lovable fire demon from the movie Howl's Moving Castle.
Howl - Of course, the charmer Howell 'Howl' Jenkins, from Howl's Moving Castle.
Pasta - My mom asked me to pick a name for this dog off the top of my head, and kind of as a joke I said Pasta, but I like it!
Inferno aka. Fern - It's kind of my style to give my animals a pretty short name that they will be call the majority of the time, with a more badass longer name to use just for fun. I love Fern as the name she will be called but really I'll know her name is Inferno. haha (I have a cat named Mona but her full name is Desdemona.)
Neji - I heard somewhere that it means 'screw' or 'spiral' in Japanese. Don't quote me on that.
Biju - means 'tailed beast' in Japanese. I thinks it's adorable to name a tiny adorable fluffy puppy a "tailed beast".
Sylar - character form the TV show 'Heroes'. He was the villain who cut peoples heads open to inspect (some say, eat) their brain. This most likely is not your style and I'd bet anything it's not your grandma's style, but I have a dark sense of humor and I think it's hilarious to name a puppy after a murderer.
