Agree with above. It's such a crazy few months when a new baby comes, I love to be as prepared as can be. I don't personally understand waiting for the surprise, but to each their own.

That's what I don't get. We're also expecting in December, and my husband desperately wants to wait for the "surprise" during the delivery. I personally want to find out because over the past few years, a lot of my friends have had babies, and it was so much easier to buy for them when you knew what they were having. I'm not even talking about pink and blue clothes, but just items that are maybe more girlie or boyish than others.

I really can not stand the pastel yellow that everyone seems to get for unknown gender children, which is another big reason why I want to know ahead of time... I don't want a lot of yellow items!

On the upside, isirapjl, you and I will have babies just in time for all the great Boxing Day sales! Huzzah!

Little update here -- as I figured my DH couldnt make it through the appt without knowing. He is like a kid in a candy store and asked me 10 times during the appt if we should find out. I really didnt care either way and since it was DH's bday, we found out. It's a BOY and I couldnt be happier...my dd will be the middle child and the only princess and my ds is thrilled not to be outnumbered!

I LOVE Ben too. If you're name was Jennifer would you have any issue with having a son Ben. I try hard to be only called Jennifer but people still shorten to Jen.

I know this wasn't the topic, but I just can't resist. I think Jack, Claire, and Nathan would be an adorable sibset. Good luck
