Red face Ways to get Pip

    Hello Berries,
I'm loving the nickname Pip. I would want more of a formal name because I don't think Pip ages well at all, but I'm not loving Philip.

Can anyone think of any other names to get Pip?

I am seriously considering Prosper, nickname Pip at the moment.
Another poster recently named her son Peregrine nickname Pip, which I also think is lovely.

But maybe you want something a little less unusual?

I love unusual! I would love to meet a little Prosper, but it's just not MY style. I'm not a fan of Peregrine, I tend to lean more towards simple names. Thanks for the suggestions, and I think you should go for Prosper! Let me know if you think of any other names to get Pip

Crispin and Caspian nn Pip are pretty quirky and not 100% intuitive, but I think they'd age fairly well.

I like Piper! Could that work on a guy? I've only heard it for girls.

I think Piper was originally boy since the nursery rhyme is Piper picked a peck of pickled peppers..... but I could be wrong :/

It's actually Peter Piper so Piper was the surname, not the first name.

The only thing I can think of is using a variant of Phillip instead, such as Felipe or Philippe.

Felipe and Philippe is still Phillip (in sound). I don't hate Philip, and I think I can actually grow to be quite fond of it. It's just not really my style. I actually like Piper better on a boy. I checked and it is unisex, but I wouldn't want my son to be the only male Piper in a school with 5 girl Pipers. I LOVE pepper, but for a girl. It's on my girl's list :-)

A friend suggested Pacific to get Pip, but I don't like Pacific. It's a good idea for other berries though! I'm also not a fan of Crispin, Caspian, Christopher, or Peter. I'm picky.

I really love Pip too and I've got it on my list as a nn for Phillip. I didn't like it at first but I've really grown to love it. I think its also a great nn for Pippin. Here are some other more out there options:

    Cupid
    Pierre
    Pius
    Kipling
    Ripley
    Agrippa
    Favorites:

Ophelia Lorraine Pearl ❤ Oliver Hugo Thomas
