The Final Names- Opinions needed!
Hello, Athena one last time! I'm coming to the end of my search for the new name of Edith Magda Louise. I've posted about this far too many times, but I'd like a final opinion. this has been posted in the writers forum, but I'd like some more opinions.
Just an fyi, the names need to fit in with those of her seven siblings. Their names are:
-Ottilie Petronella Marie nn Lotte, Tillie
-Ernst Heinrich Ludwig nn Ness
-Helene Carolina Sophie nn Nènè
-Philippa Odetta Margurite nn Pippa
-Margot Ada Leonora
-Anouk Isobel Doutzen
-Cornelius Ferdinand Otto
Thanks in advance! This is the last time, I swear!

Character Name
Both Greta and Margot are nn's for the name Margaret so I would eliminate that option. Hedwig isn't very attractive and shares an initial with Helene. By the way, is your family German? It's hard to tell because you have a mixture of cultures for the siblings (there's German, Dutch, French). Louisa would normally be spelled Luise in German and Edith would roughly be pronounced like "EH-dit" not "EE-dith" in German. I like Rosemarie Magda Louise with the family names. Or just stick with Edith Magda Louise.
Sibling Names
Helene Carolina Sophie - C's are usually K's in German so it would be Karolina.
Philippa Odetta Margurite - This is Marguerite, right? Marguerite is French and the German would be Margaretha/Margarethe. Pippa is really an English nickname so I don't find it German at all.
Anouk Isobel Doutzen - Anouk and Doutzen are more Dutch than German.
Margot Ada Leonora - Margot is French, Marquerite is French and Greta is Scandinavian/German. They're all basically the same name only in different variations.
I just wanted to point out some things that I noticed. I don't want to freak you out by my nitpicking. I just want to make the siblings names as legitimate sounding as possible. If the issues I've raised don't bother you, then just ignore my observations. All the best,
Mischa.

Thank you for your observations- they're very helpful!
I only realized a little bit ago that in German, Carolina would be Karolina, so I'll be sure to change that.
I've always had a little bit of trouble with the u and e's in Marguerite. Thanks for the corrections, Philippa Odetta Margeurite will be
changed to Philippa Odetta Margarethe.
Anouk Isobel Doutzen is a name I don't intend to change. The family that I"m writing about is based in Austria, but the mother is half Dutch. There are family members in Switzerland, France and the Netherlands as well.
I see what you mean with Margot, Marguerite, and Greta, so the name simply won't do, unless I change Margot's name. Thank you!
