I love the name Elle, but as someone else said, it has to go with a longer last name. Ultimately you should choose what you love the best, but if you really like a longer El- name that Elle can be derived from, you can always have that on the birth certificate and just call your little girl Elle.
Example: Elle Smith- Seems kind of short and choppy. Eleanor Smith, however, sounds very flowy and is lovely. You can still call her Elle, as well as her friends and family and whoever else.
If you have a longer last name, example: Elle Weatherbee, it sounds perfect just like that and Eleanor would make it a bit too long, IMHO.
I have to say it again, I really like the name Elle. I picture a beautiful, smart, charming, and very down to earth girl when I hear that name!Proud mama of Erika Michelle & Alexa Leanna
