    too many A names?

I'm trying to seriously contemplate Aria. The problems being these:

1.In the close family there already are Alexandra, Ariel, Aislinn - too similar?

2.A names are the top chosen letter for girls - wouldn't want her to get lost in a sea of Amelia, alexa, and andreas

3.It also seems to be getting too popular for my liking

    4. Is she going to get AREA?

Does anyone know of any names they find similar?
    Thanks in advance

I think Aria would be fine- the only name in your family it may be too close to is Ariel. What about Ariana?

I like Aria and I wouldn't worry about anyone calling her Area. It is rising in popularity, but don't worry about the A name thing. My name starts with an A and now that I think of it a lot of girls I know have names starting with As but I have never got "lost in the crowd" before. It is just one letter and it can make a lot of different sounds, so I wouldn't worry about it.

I agree that Ariana might be an option to get the correct pronunciation with Aria as a nn.
Also, unless these are family members you see once a week and all are known by their first names I don't think it would be a huge issue, as you say A names are popular for girls.

If you're not feeling strongly about it though I think being open to other options is a good idea.

Other names that have a similar feel to me:
    Irena
    Raina
    Amirah
    Lyric
    Amelie

I think it can work fine, and I've never though to say Aria as Area, I used to say it Ah-rye-ah, until I actually heard it. She's safe from area imo.
