Noah vs. Blake

Ok I posted a thread a while ago about not being able to decide between Noah and Mason as a first name...well we've both agreed that we like Mason better as a middle name but we still aren't 100% ready to go with Noah as a first name. Now our very small boy name list is down to Noah and Blake. The middle names we like so far for BOTH names are:

Gabriel
Cole
Mason
Hunter

What do you think is the best choice? Noah or Blake? and what combo do you like?

Blake Gabriel would be my choice.

I definitely prefer Blake, but I'm not really a fan of it with any of those middles. Maybe Blake Hunter? But there's something off about it, it sounds almost descriptive.

I do like Noah Gabriel.

I prefer Noah to Blake and think Noah works better with all of the potential middle names. Blake just didn't sound right with any of those mns, IMO.

Your first and mn lists are small enough to take to the hospital with you. The baby may "look" more like one name than the other when you meet him for the first time. It's always best to have a couple of options to choose from just in case the favourite combo doesn't "fit".

I have a Noah, so I admit I'm biased, but I think I'd prefer Noah over Blake anyway. I like both Noah Gabriel and Noah Cole.

Mischa's suggestion about taking both names to the hospital is a good one. Perhaps one will leap out as the obvious choice once you have him in your arms. I remember looking at my newborn son and thinking that my runner-up name wouldn't suit him at all.

I prefer Noah and think Cole or Gabriel work best as middles. I'm not sure about Blake....there's something about it I don't really like, but cannot pinpoint what that is. I would prefer any of your middle names (except for Hunter) over Blake as a first name.

I prefer Noah. I think Noah Gabriel would be fabulous! Noah Cole is really handsome, too, although it's a bit "Oh" heavy...

Oh. This is a tough call! I think Noah and Blake are 2 really great names. They both have a smart but modern vibe. Noah seems a bit more strong and classic but Blake is my personal favorite.
From your list my fave combos are:
Noah Cole
Noah Gabriel
Blake Hunter
Blake Cole *I like Cole with both names

**I just wanted to mention; do you like the name Jonah? I think it shares sort of the same vibe.
