    OMG! Irish Twins!

Hi, Berries! This board was such a huge help to me when I named my last baby and I'm shocked to find out that I'm going to have to do it all over again! Our 4th child (who is a major surprise!) is due Feb 16. Because all of mine have been induced at 39 weeks and my OB delivers on Thursdays, there is a good chance the baby will be born on Valentine's Day. Which is also DH's birthday. Which is weird since our last baby was due on Christmas. Anyways, we have three girls - Molly Clare (12), Piper Shannon (6), and Cora Noelle (7 months). Not positive that we are having another girl, but we already have a boy name picked out. So I'm ready to start the list!

Names that I love but can not use for various reasons: Ivy, Laurel, Quinn, Violet, Sadie, and Lucy.

So what else goes with Molly, Piper, and Cora? I appreciate the help!

    Sharing your joy!

Here's what "The Baby Name Wizard" book [2009] by Laura Wattenberg suggests ...

Cora's sisters: Stella, Nora, Alma, Esther, Iva
Molly's sisters: Tess, Gracie, Leah, Katie, Sophie
Piper's sisters: Laney, Phoebe, Willow, Zoe, Harper

    Here's what I suggest ...

Addison [and] Cora [and] Molly [and] Piper

... two vintage names and two surname names.

Ooh, I love Nina! I'm not crazy about Valentine, but I have always adored Love for a middle name (I had a college roommate that was Jessica Love). I'm also in love with Bridget and Vera. Do you think Cora and Vera are too similar to use together? That's my one problem with that name. My DH and I went round and round about Bridget with our last baby (he prefers the traditional Irish spelling Brigid). The problem (which was the source of a lively thread on this board) is that our last name begins with a J, which would make her initials BJ. According to many of my friends and a lot of other Berries, that would be horrible for the middle school years. Which I hate because I love the name! Addison is super-trendy where I live so that's definitely out. I like Laney or Laine also. And Willa. And Adele was on our list last time, but my DH vetoed because of the popularity of the singer. Starting to build a list - keep the suggestions coming! Thanks!

LOVE Willa! And Bridget. My DH and I are both middle school and jr hi teachers, fully aware of the teasing that can go on, but I just asked him and neither of us think it would be a big deal. We have both had a couple kids with these initials and honestly it hasnt been an issue. I hope that makes you feel better. We had a college friend, a guy, who went by BJ, and I think the guys ragged on him a couple times but other than that, it wasn't something we commonly talked about or anything. It was just his name! I like Vera ok, but it might be too similar to Cora, and I like the other two better.

As a start, I'd suggest looking for a two-syllable name that doesn't end in "y" or "er" or "a" to keep the theme going, something not over-used but not unheard of, either. (I feel each of your choices so far fit this category, at least when you chose them). Names such as Iris, Rumi, Thistle, Sonnet, Margot, Lennox, Maxine, Orchid, Hazel, Willow, Alice.........And yes, Brigid/Bridget--this would really round out the sisters' names. Vera--way to close to Cora, especially given the Irish twins aspect!
