and suddenly it seems like it's all coming together! Please help with this last piece

Hi, So we are almost certainly going to go with Leo for Avery's younger brother. I love it and it holds special meaning for a deceased family member.

We are now trying to figure out the middle name, we decided a few days ago that we want something that refers to water/oceans/lakes etc. Avery's middle name is Marie and even though it means "bitter" it is a family name so we used it. I just discovered that other sites (behind the name and think baby names) also say it may mean 'lady/mistress of the sea, or star of the sea'. This was a very pleasant surprise and makes the quest for a boy middle name that refers to water even more meaningful.

These are the ones we like the most in a blog on this site. What do you think?

    Leo Brooks (small stream)
Leo Wade (at a river's crossing)
    Leo Morgan (circling sea)
    Leo Caspian (the Caspian Sea)
Leo Dylan (son of the sea)

Thank you for any thoughts/feedback!! I have really appreciated all the comments on my other threads!!

I like your idea of connecting your two children's names via the meaning.

I prefer the flow of the names if they don't both have the same # of syllables... so the best ones from your list imo are
    Leo Wade
Leo Brooks (although Brooks sounds more feminine to me)
Leo Caspian (do you want to be asked if you're Narinia fans all the time -Caspian is a good character in the books & movies though)

The pp had some nice suggestions too -but unless you are from the same country as the river (or used to live there -or it has some other significance to you) it would seem weird to me to use the name of a river you've never seen/known. Plus, some of these are names in their own right and have their own meaning that has nothing to do with water. However, if there's a body of water near where you live now, or near a place you have fond memories of, it might be a nice name to use as a mn for your son.

I think Leo Brooks flows the best. I also really like the pp suggestion of Leo Douglas or Leo James.

Lilysong: I agree with you, and although Mischa's list is awesome (as usual), I would rather that the name's meaning actually has something to do with the sea, water, etc. This is why I am not sure about Caspian, I have never been anywhere even close to the Caspian Sea, so there's no personal significance, I think it's a cool name though.

I am leaning towards Brooks or Morgan (I think).

    Any other thoughts?

I vote for Leo Wade. (It's just my personal preference to pick a more masculine name over a unisex one, even in the middle. At least your first name is all boy though. I love Leo!)
Mother of three teenagers: (1) Daniel Glen, (2) Timothy Austin, and (3) Rebecca Jane... all middle names honor family... 3rd generation mn Jane. (A second girl would have been Susanna Eve and a third boy, maybe Isaac...)

I like Leo Caspian - it throws the more common Leo off.

I love Leo Caspian! I love the sea connection, and the connection to Prince Caspian (huge Narnia dork over here!). I think Avery Marie and Leo Caspian are great together. I also really like Leo Morgan, Leo Dylan, and Leo Brooks.

    Good luck!
