sibling names for big brother Evan
Just found out last night that we are pregnant with our 2nd baby due in March 2013 - we have a ways to go but already (even before knew we were having baby) thinking of names. Now it is just more REAL than speculation!! Our ds is Evan James as a lot of you already know:-) .. wdyt of :
girl
Claire Anneliese (Anne -Mom's mn and Lee- Grandma's mn)
Clara Anneliese
Claire Rachel (Rachel - my fn)
boy:
Jackson Porter (we know Jackson is popular but have always loved this name and still do) and Porter is my Pawpaw's mn..
do these sound and look good with Evan James. which of the 3 girl's names do you prefer and do you even like Jackson Porter?
thanks!

Congrats on your pregnancy! I think Claire Anneliese flows better than Clara Anneliese (the back-to-back a's aren't ideal). I think I've said this on another thread but here goes. Evan is the Welsh form of John and many Johns use Jack as a nickname (my father was one of them). Therefore, it's like naming your second boy "son of Jack" (eg. "son of John" and by association "son of Evan"). To me, Jackson is too similar to Evan both in meaning and sound. If this fact doesn't bother you, then choose Jackson Porter. The combo itself flows nicely.
All the best,
Mischa.

I like Jackson with Evan. Most non name nerds won't know that they are related in a sense, and how often will their names be mentioned in connection with their siblings once they are adults? Claire goes well with Evan in my opinion but neither one of the name combinations works for me personally. Out of the two I'd prefer Anneliese over Rachel.
