    Anyone else have Baby Fever?

My daughter is only 9 months old but I have had a serious case of baby fever lately. But... having another baby right now would be totally financially irresponsible, so I have to wait. I guess talking about it would help. So, anyone else currently have baby fever? Are you going to act on it or not?

Hi rowangreeneyes! I don't currently have baby fever, but I did after my first. She was just a couple of months old when I felt desperate to have another. Like you, that would have been quite difficult financially, and since I've always been responsible and practical, it just wasn't going to happen! I had never considered having children a year apart, so I was surprised that I was feeling ready to get pregnant again so soon. I guess I just chalked it up to being a new mom, and still being hormonal.

We did end up ttc when she was about 10 months old, as we wanted to have them about 2 years apart. I was prepared for the average 6-9 months of trying, and was shocked when I got pregnant the same month Willow turned 1 (just our third month of trying).

Now that I have two, life is pretty busy all the time. Some days are so hard, and I feel like I can't meet all of their needs at the same time. For example, I'll start giving Veda a bottle, and Willow decides that's she's become bored with colouring. She'll go and climb up to the sink in the kitchen to entertain herself, and won't stop and get down when I ask her to. So I have to stop feeding Veda (cause I really don't have enough hands to manage), put her down, and go to the sink to get Willow. She will kick up a stink because she really does want to play with the water, and I'll end up having to give her a timeout. By this time, Veda is crying because she's still hungry and would like to finish her milk!

...Did that help cool your fever? Haha! It's not like that all the time, I promise!

Labmama, have you tried babywearing Veda so you can run around with willow?? It's a lifesaver!

@labmama... I definitely plan on waiting until Rowan is a toddler before actually trying again. She's just starting to walk now and getting into everything. So we'll see how I feel when she's 1 1/2 or 2. Having a baby and a toddler does seem hard, but I see so many women in that situation, it has to be doable! Maybe it is hormones or something instinctual that tells us we want lots of babies... who knows. My best friend is getting married in September so I'm going to grill her about when she plans to get pregnant and maybe I'll time it so we can be pregnant together.

I do have some baby fever but I don't plan on acting on it. Thankfully my friends have children that I can play with and dote upon. As much as I want my own baby it is nice to be able to give it back at the end of the day. I get to buy them cute items and play with them- which helps with the baby fever as well Me and my SO are NTNP. I'd be thrilled to fall pregnant soon but theres no rush. I do enjoy the baby fever though
