My Boy's Alphabet Name List.
Trying to make a boy's name list, based on a certain site, so names could change the more I look around. I thought I would do it alphabet style. I would like to read your honest thoughts on each name. Yes, some may be a bit out there, but I am seriously considering most them in some way (some are fillers for that alphabet). I have not specified whether it would be a first name or a middle name, because I am curious to see how open Berries are. Also, what combo's do you think will work well, if any? Any other suggestions?
Side Note: Thanks to some Berries, I have realized some of the names are not the best. Honestly, I have yet to really research some of the information behind the names. I figured I would read Berries first thought, then I would continue to find more information about the name. When you first meet a person, normally, you don't think about the meaning, but the sound of it and that's what I was looking for. You guys are doing great so far and it is really helping me think of other options. Boy names are hard for me and always changing.
Aslan - Yes, I know it's from Narnia, but I like that it means lion. And that it represents strength, courageousness, kingship, loyalty.
Blaise/Blaze - Will it age well? Cool for a kid, but what about as an adult?
Carlisle - Not sure why, but I have always like this name. It just moves up and down on my list. Maybe I have heard it from somewhere. Do you know any alternative spellings that might be easier to the eyes for those who may have trouble with it? I know Carlyle is one, but the 'y' bugs me a bit.
Castiel - I just like it.
Chandler - Homage to my eldest sister, but I am not too content on it going to the girls. It was on my list for the longest time. Kind of sad that it is losing it appeal.
Dougray - (p. do Gray) Maybe because of the actor, but I like the way it just rolls off my tongue.
Edmond/Edmund - Homage alternative to my dad's middle name. Which spelling is better? Plus, I really like the movies, "The Count of Monte Cristo" & "Mansfield Park".
Felix - I like that it has a cool, classic, & quirky sense to it.
Gabriel - Love the nickname Gable; which embodies masculinity, charm, & intelligence.
Hawkins - Based on the site I am using to make this list. I am sure there is a better 'H' name that may appeal to me, but as G.P. I like it--cool nn too-- Hawk or Hawks.
Ignacio - Okay, this one is a G.P. too ,but I just love the nn Iggy.
Jupiter - Appealing and embodies force and creativity for me. But I wonder if there is "gas" teasing potential amongst students when they learn about planets.
Kai - Likes that it means different things in diverse languages, i.e. ocean or little king. Usually would choose the 'c' spellings over the 'k' spellings.
Leander- I just like it.
Lysander - I just like it.
Micah - Only this name really stood out.
Nathan/Nathaniel - Hmm, maybe the show "One Tree Hill" influenced this one a bit. Not that bad, I went to school with a Nathaniel and he was very proud of his name and meaning. I always picture a tall (He was about 6'3 in the 8th grade and was taller when I saw him later.), dark, and handsome kid with this name.
Oberon - I just like it, but could cause pronunciation problems.
Phaedron - A bit romantic.
Phelan (Fallon) - Recent crush. Is it a bit girly?
Quill - Ancient and poetic.
Ravi - I wondered why I liked this name, before I knew the meaning. But I believe I subconsciously liked it because of the font Ravie. But I like the meaning too.
Rhys - I just like it.
Rian - I just like it.
Samson - Homage to grandmother, but feel it might be a bit too heavy.
Sherlock - Homage to my maternal family.
Talon - Yes, I know what it is, but I just like it.
Tristan - Charming & Romantic.
Uriah - Grew on me.
Vaughn - I just like it.
Viggo - rare and awesome.
Because of my last name, this letter will be obsolete, but I did names anyway.
Wicker - Sounds kind of Cool.
Wolfgang - Another cool, loyal, & strong sounding name. Love the nn Wolf.
Xerxes - Edit: The original place I saw this name made it seem like the person was a Hero that stood up for those who was weaker. Now, since Berries have said he was not that great, I have to figure out another X name.
Yuri - I know a woman with this name, but for creativity reasons, I have thought about this name a couple of times.
Zephyr/Zephyrus - Just love how cool and breezy it sounds.

Aslan -- I like it, but I think it's so tied to the lion from Narnia that it should be a middle name.
Blaise/Blaze -- I know a little boy named Blaze (he'd be 9 or 10 I think) I like Blaise/Blaze, and I think the Blaise spelling makes it work a little better on an adult
Carlisle -- Well this is one I just don't really like. I don't know why, it's a fine name, but I don't like it. I prefer this spelling over the Y
Castiel -- This is another one I can't get myself to like, sorry
Chandler -- I actually really like Chandler. I think it has a cool sound and I love it!
Dougray - (p. do Gray) - It's interesting, and I tried to say it doug-ray, but it is interesting and Gray is a good nickname
Edmond/Edmund -- Love Edmund! It's battles for my favorite Ed- name with Edwin.
Felix -- Love Felix too, but a lot of people think of the cartoon cat. I think it's handsome and spunky
Gabriel -- I like Gabriel but I think it's really popular. I've known 4 Gabriel's and Gabrielle's in the daycare alone, I've known more outside the daycare too
Hawkins -- I really like it as a first name and not just as a GP. It makes me think of Treasure Island and I love that literary connection! Hawk is a cool nickname and I just love it!
Ignacio -- this is one I don't like. It sounds very ethnic for anyone not Hispanic/Italian
Jupiter -- I'm sure gas could be a teasing potential, but it makes me think of the Roman version of Zeus ^_^ I would keep it in the middle though as I think it's a little much for a first name
Kai -- I like it, but i've seen it mentioned a ton of times on here. I prefer Kaia for a girl
Leander -- LOVE the Greek mythology connection and Love this name
Lysander -- Love this a lot too! We considered it but found others we like better. LOVE it
Micah -- I don't like Micah a lot because I've seen it on more girls and it seems strange on a boy (though I have met boy Micahs)
Nathan/Nathaniel -- Love Nathaniel! We considered this one too. I think it's handsome and strong and I also sort of picture a tall, dark and handsome type. I also think the nicknames make it more sporty feeling so anyone can wear it.
Oberon -- I don't think it can be mispronounced to much, o-ber-on, now if it were Auberon then i could see pronunciation problems. I love Oberon. It's one of my more liked Shakespeare names.
Phaedron -- sounds a bit girly to me, like Phaedra
Phelan (Fallon) -- Is it pronounced fay-lon? If so then yes I think it's a bit girly, but I do know a little boy named Faelon
Quill -- I love Quill! i'm using Quillon with the nn Quill. I love it because I write and it's so handsome!
Ravi -- i don't like it too much. Sorry
Rhys -- Love it but only really as a middle name for some reason
Rian -- Is this like Ryan? If so, then it seems like just a misspelling to me (and I don't like Ryan either)
Samson -- it's okay. I've never felt strongly either way on this name
Sherlock -- I actually really really love this. He was a cool character (even if he had some terrible flaws) but I think it might be better in the middle
Talon -- I like it too in a GP kind of way. There's was a cool Talon in a book series I used to read. I would only use it in the middle
Tristan -- I agree, romantic. I love the story of Tristan & Isolde, so I think Tristan is great
Uriah -- dislike the sound sorry
Vaughn -- I like it too, but my husband says it makes everything sound like German royalty
Viggo -- I do really like Viggo, but I think it's really tied to the actor (whom I love!)
Wicker -- I don't really like this as a given name
Wolfgang -- I like it too, but more in the middle, and Wolf is pretty cool (i prefer Amadeus ^_^)
Xerxes -- I like the way it sounds, but Xerxes was an evil Persian emperor so that kind of puts me off
Yuri -- it would seem really ethnic on anyone not Germanic/Russian
Zephyr/Zephyrus -- LOVE! i'm using Zephyrine for a girl ^_^ I also know a man named Zephyr. It's a very cool namehttp://angelslittleowl.wordpress.com/

Can't wait to meet Persephone Elysia Willow!

Aslan - I like the sound, but I think it might be better as a middle.
Blaise/Blaze - I like it, but I would spell it Blaise to make it more wearable.
Carlisle - To me, it evokes kind of a preppy image. I'm not a fan.
Castiel - I like it, but I like other Cas names better.
Chandler - I like it, and it's used far more for boys that girls.
Dougray - (p. do Gray) I like it.
Edmond/Edmund -I LOVE this one. One of my favorite names. I like the Edmund spelling.
Felix - LOVE. Edmund and Felix would make great brothers.
Gabriel - Love, and I love the nn Gable.
Hawkins - Love, and not as a GP. It sounds perfect for a little boy, but it could work for a grown man.
Ignacio - Not a fan.
Jupiter - The gas teasing potential could come up. I love the name, though. And the nn Jupe would be adorable. It could be a lot for a kid to wear, though.
Kai - I like it.
Leander- Like it.
Lysander - Not a fan.
Micah - Love!
Nathan/Nathaniel - Love!
Oberon - Eh.
Phaedron - Sounds a bit sci-fi.
Phelan (Fallon) - Too close to "failing" for me.

Ravi - It's okay..
Rhys - LOVE.
Rian - Not a fan.
Samson - I love it. I like Samuel a bit better, but I love Samson.
Sherlock -Would be best as a mn.
Talon - Not a fan.
Tristan - Love.
Uriah - I associate it with Urijah Faber, the MMA fighter, so I can see it on a kid. But I don't love the sound.
Vaughn - It's okay.
Viggo - LOVE.
Because of my last name, this letter will be obsolete, but I did names anyway.
Wicker - I think Wicker Man, so I don't care for this.
Wolfgang - I like this. I know a kid named Wolfgang.
Xerxes - As a History teacher, I can't imagine this on a modern child. The Persian emperor is not a good role model.
Yuri - Not a fan.
Zephyr/Zephyrus - I like it.Elliot ~ Silas ~ Henry ~ Lazarus ~ Samuel
Evie ~ Sophie ~ Rosalie ~ Phoebe ~ Mavis
Crushes: Jubal ~ Avery ~ Artemis ~ Persephone

Aslan - ass land, sorry, I love the meaning/connection too, but I don't think it's usable irl
Blaise/Blaze - I know a woman in her 20's named Blaise, it fits her well
Carlisle - I like this name, has some bad connections but it's a solid classic I think
Dougray - I think there's movie where this name is a joke….sounds unintelligent
Edmund - I really like this name, solid and interesting with great connections, though I honestly hate Ed and Eddie!
Felix - fantastic name, love it
Gabriel - Love Gable, hate Gabe, so so
Hawkins - I don't like it. I know too many people with this surname
Jupiter - No, hate it
Kai - I like it in theory, but not in practice. Seems like it would be the name of a douchebag
Leander- I like it too
Micah - I've known several. Great name, great people!
Nathan/Nathaniel - not bad, solid classic
Oberon - Obi is a cute nn, but I can't imagine this on a real person
Phaedron - I don't think I'd want the word "fade" in my name
Phelan (Fallon) - I don't like the girls name or this version, it's too much like felon or fall on or feel an, etc.
Quill - I like it

Thanks Berries!
Lol, your comments are great-some are kinda funny! Some have made me think of the name in a whole new light--whether it is bright or dark. I just love reading your thoughts on each name. I just wanted to get a feel on what others would think when they hear the name on a child/adult.
Not all the names I have on list are considered first name. I am just having a rough time falling in love with a boy name and you guys are giving me wonderful help.
Thanks again,
natural.

Aslan - I prefer Alan. Or if you are feeling movie-inspired, I even prefer Aladdin.
Blaise/Blaze - A girl in my age was named this after her father. I really never liked it.
Carlisle - There's a town in my state named Carlisle. I always liked it. I think it would be a cool name for any little boy. I don't mind the spelling.
Castiel - I just don't like it.
Chandler - NOOOOOOOO. This will never lose its appeal. Chandler is my favorite Friends character. It also just sounds so friendly and approachable.
Dougray - I feel this is a start of a command. Do gray-t work!
Edmond/Edmund - I prefer the Edmund spelling. Love the nick name Eddie.
Felix - I love Felix. It sounds so cool.
Gabriel - I will admit that Gabrel sounds badass... but I don't like Gabriel. Too soft for my taste.
Hawkins - Reminds me of Taylor Hawkins- drummer for the Foo Fighters. Therefore I like this name.
Ignacio - I picture a middle aged man, and your little guy will eventually get to that age I suppose. Just doesn't sound right on a baby boy.
Jupiter - I certainly wouldn't think children would tease him with "gas" references. I do see teasing potential for this name for the sole fact it is a little "out there". However, I do like this name.
Kai - I picture a little surfer boy with this name. I suppose I'm stuck on the ocean meaning.
Leander- Never been a fan. Anders is a better name IMO.
Lysander - Same as Leander.
Micah -Not a fan, though, fellow Berries love this name.
Nathan/Nathaniel - Holy moly that man was tall! I like Nathan better, but both names are lovely. Nate is a good nickname.
Oberon - O names are in style.
Phaedron - NMS.
Phelan (Fallon) - I think Fallon is better. I picture this on a boy over a girl.
Quill - Very cool name. I actually never thought of using this as a name. I might steal it.
Ravi - I am not a fan.
Rhys - I dated a guy named Rhys. I would always order a reesie peanutbutter cup icecream to "honor" him because he was my rhysie peanutbutter cup haha.
Rian - The Ryan spelling, I hear, is also lovely.
Samson - Not a fan.
Sherlock - Please, please, please name your future son this. I love this name. I will name my son Watson I swear. I'm a big Sherlock Holmes fan...
Talon - I've read a post before where someone was considering this name. You're not alone!
Tristan -I prefer this name on girls.
Uriah - Filler name?
Vaughn - It's okay, but not my first choice.
Viggo - haha "and awesome". It's alright.
Wicker - I think of baskets.
Wolfgang - Wolf= awesome name Wolfgang= not so awesome.
Xerxes - It is a hero name. Berries tend like names more based on meanings. I'm not like that. I enjoy a name for it's sound or connection.
Yuri - This will mean nothing to you, but I think of Yuri's Revenge. A game my brother played for years. He even "mod" for it and was publish in gamer magazines. But, yes it is a guy's name.
Zephyr/Zephyrus- I like Zephyr. Zephyrus is getting a little too long for me. Short, quick and snappy is my style.
