Shoot some names at me!
I know everyone on nameberry LOVES to suggest names! So here we go.
My favourite boys names, which my fiancee and I both love, are Luca, Sullivan and Elijah. If we have a boy in the future we are pretty sure that he will be named one of these.
Our dilemma (although not an urgent one by any means) is that we both don't have any girls names that we love. We like some but nothing ever stands out.
My favourite girl's name is Beth, which doesn't go with our last name at all....she would be Beth B**K (far too abrupt).
I also quite like Chloe, Leia (but can't have a Luca and a Leia- too star wars), and Liza. I also have suggested Eilish/Ailish in the past which was immediately vetoed.
I have a soft spot for, but wouldn't use Dorothy. I also love Irish/Celtic names.
The girl name that he suggests often is Emily which I don't like at all.
So please suggest girls names!
Criteria:
1. Please no names that will only be used to get me to a nice nickname- for example please don't suggest Elizabeth as a way to get to Beth. Just a personal naming preference.
2. Also if possible, try to avoid names that an American and an Australian would pronounce differently as this is the reality in our family! For example names that end in 'er' we would pronounce differently. This isn't a strict criteria....just something that may cause us to rule out a name!
