    Suggestions on my list?

I've been having trouble coming up with some boy name options that I love as much as my top two girl names. The names are Margot Cordelia and Ingrid Zenobia. There are a few boy names we've tossed around, but none that stick out as clearly as our girl name choices. So here is a tentative list for first and middle name options, and all opinions and suggestions are welcome.

    First Names:

    Cedric
    Ephraim
    Cormac
    Linus
    Malcolm
    Conrad

    Middle Names:

    Leander
    Frederic
    Leopold
    Casimir
    Augustin
    Alasdair

Please suggest some combos from my choices or from your own suggestions that you think pair well with Margot Cordelia and Ingrid Zenobia. TIA!
Lucky I'm in love with my best friend... 6/9/07

I think it would be nice to carry through the G-sound in your sibset. So some suggestions are:

    Ingrid, Margot, and

    Augustin
    Angus

    George/Georg
    Gideon
    Gilbert
    Giles
    Gordon
    Gregory
    Grant
    Gunnar
    Gustave
    Reginald
    Padraig

From your list, I like the following the best as fns:

    Ingrid, Margot and

    Casimir
    Conrad
    Frederic
    Linus

    Other possible fns are:

    Ingrid, Margot, and

    Alfred
    Aeneas
    Alec
    Barnaby
    Calvin
    Caspar/Jaspar
    Dominic
    Donald
    Edmond
    Edwin
    Ezra
    Isaiah
    Julian
    Roland
    Rufus

I love your suggestions of Alfred, Calvin, Edwin, Ezra (although my sister has already claimed this), Rufus, Simon and Thaddeus. I think for first names I'm more interested in two syllable names to maintain continuity.

Ah, a girl after my own heart. Twins on the way. Cormac and Cordelia.

While I Love Cormac (obviously). I think if you're wanting to do a sib-set. I'd prefer Ephraim, personally. For some reason I think Margot, Ingrid, and Ephraim sound lovely together.

So, pulling just from your lists, I like: Ephraim Leander or Ephraim Casimir. Those two are tied.

I like Ephraim with the girls names as well. I think Ephraim Leopold sounds great.

thompssn- Cormac and Cordelia are amazing together! Great taste!

Ephraim would probably be my favorite right now, and I'm really toying with Ephraim Leander or Ephraim Leopold. The main thing is, I can't decide which I like most between Cedric, Cormac and Conrad. I feel like using one means I can't ever use the others because of their similar sounds.

Cedric -nn Ric, Ced, Eric, Deric, means bounty, is in Ivanhoe and Harry Potter, most accessible imo
Conrad - nn Con, Rad, Conar, Cona, means brave counsel, is in Bye Bye Birdie and has a bit more nerd flair than the others
Cormac -nn Mac, Cor, Cory, means tree trunk, is in Celtic mythology and worn by a novelist

I don't think you could use both Conrad and Cormac, but I think Cedric is different enough, especially if you have more than 2 children. Very different sound and feel. My first choice of the 3 would be Cedric because I feel it's the most pleasing in look and sound and the most accessible (I can imagine meeting a guy named Cedric and it fitting guys of different types well)

    Cedric Leander fits best imo
    Conrad Leopold
    Cormac Augustin

    Linus Leander
    Ephraim Alasdair

    Cyrus Leander
    Eben Leopold
    Fritz Casimir
    Ewen Frederic
    Silas Leader
    Quincy Malcolm
    Livy/Lucy : Geneva/Gwen : Coralie/Alice : Noelle/Eve
    Eli/Bennett : Jude/Zane: Luke/Leo : Levi/Phineas

I agree with the above. If you really don't want to do something that matches, Cedric would be fine with either Conrad or Cormac. Probably a little better with Conrad, if you want to totally avoid matching. Since Cedric and Cormac end with the "k" sound. But, having one C that starts with a soft sound and one with a hard sound wouldn't be matchy at all except in writing.
