    Talking Is this it?!

My husband and I have run into a lot of disagreement in naming our baby girl, sister to Aviana (Ah-vee-ah-nuh) Juliet. I have fallen in love with the name Lucia pronounced Loosha, middle name Belle. Do Aviana Juliet and Lucia Belle go together? I'm open to other middle name suggestions as my husband isn't "wild about it" But, it looks like first name will be Lucia.. Im so excited about that!!! Thanks for any input!

I may have said this somewhere else in the forums before, but being Italian I just don't understand the loo-sha pronunciation of Lucia (lu-chee-ah). All the [Italian] girls I've known have pronounced it lu-chee-ah, although I've heard of it being said fast so that it comes out more like lu-cha. That aside, the loo-sha prn doesn't seem to go as well with Aviana as does the lu-chee-ah prn. Just my two cents. However, if you're dead set on the loo-sha sound, perhaps Luciana?

Isn't the island pronounced Loosha? Idk, I just like that pronunciation a lot more. I don't really want to go with another name ending with -ana, then the names are just too similar. Thanks for your input! I'm just dead set on the name Lucia pronounced Loosha

I love the combination of Aviana Juliet and Lucia Belle! They are both unique and lovely ladylike names that sound marvelous together. Aviana Juliet does sound substantially longer than Lucia Belle, but that probably isn't an issue for you. In my opinion, Belle is a bit nondescript, so some other middle name suggestions are: Lucia Beatrice, Lucia Noelle, Lucia Rosalie. Good luck finding the perfect name!

I think that Lucia Belle is a great combination. I would not change it. And yes, I also think that Lucia Bella will go nicely alongside Aviana Juliet!

I tend to pronounce Lucia as loosha too, and most people i know do too (or loo-see-uh), so maybe it's just a matter of where you live? I can understand cristinamariane being frustrated because I have the same issues with Greek names being mispronounced, so sorry I'm saying it wrong! ^_^

I think Lucia Belle is gorgeous and it goes really nicely with Aviana Juliet.

I really like Avianna and Lucia. The Loo-sha prn makes more sense to me then loo-chee-ah. Lucia Belle is very sweet.
