Due Monday - Super Honest Opinions Requested. Thanks!

I've posted the list my husband and I have for our son in an earlier post : http://nameberry.com/nametalk/thread...Help-us-decide!. The comments were really helpful. We're waiting to see what he looks like before naming, but I want real opinions on 1. perceptions of names (too nerdy/trendy/boring), 2. name flow, 3. combo options, and 4. whether or not 2 middles is okay. Below is our list in no particular order. Thomas is an option for a second middle for all the names, as it's my maiden name. Another name we like is Arthur. Feel free to give an honest opinion, and suggest different combinations of names. Much appreciated.

    1. Ezra John
    2. John Ezra
    3. Louis Ephraim
    4. Louis Edmund
    5. George Leland
    6. Theodore Elias

I think that Thomas sounds fine as a 2nd middle name after all of the names except Theodore Elias. Of all of the names, I like Theodore Elias best - he sounds smart and spunky and i really like the nickname Theo. I do hear Theo discussed on this site quite often but not sure how indicative that is of the name's actual popularity. Would you pronounce Louis with or without an 's' sound at the end?

Ezra John and John Ezra are my two favourites. John is a classic but it's not very popular. That is, in some ways, a sweet place to be. People know what it is and how to spell it and say it but there won't be three in the class... unless you call him Jack for short, which he can do if he ever wants to fit in.

Ezra one of my favourite Biblical names and isn't too long or hard to spell or say for anybody. I do like Ephraim but not quite as much.

Theodore is overused for me or it's not that popular and I just coincidentally know way too many Theodores, Theos, and Teds (some Teds are Theodores and some are Edwards but either way I know too many Teds).

I really adore Edmund but I can't take Louis. John Edmund or Edmund John would be very nice.

    1. Ezra John - I like Ezra, but would not use it myself.
    2. John Ezra - While I do like this combo, I would, personally, not be too crazy about using the #1 boy name in ALL of history as a first name.
    3. Louis Ephraim - I like Louis, and I like Ephraim okay as a mn, but they are not ideal together.
    4. Louis Edmund - I like Louis, and I LOVE Edmund! Nice combo.
    5. George Leland - NMS, especially Leland. I like George better in the middle.
    6. Theodore Elias - Great! Handsome name.

My favorites on your list are: Theodore Elias and Louis Edmund. However, I like the idea of Theodore Edmund best of all. I also like Edmund Theodore and Edmund Louis.

Mother of three teenagers: (1) Daniel Glen, (2) Timothy Austin, and (3) Rebecca Jane... all middle names honor family... 3rd generation mn Jane. (A second girl would have been Susanna Eve and a third boy, maybe Isaac...)

P.S. Given that Thomas is your maiden name, I think you should definitely use it. However, my preference would be to use it as the only middle name (or as the first name).

    Theodore Thomas
    Edmund Thomas
    Thomas Theodore

I love all your combos, except number 2 (just because John is a touch too boring for a first name), and the last one (Theodore is a bit stodgy for my liking).

Ezra John is a standout - Ezra is fantastic.
I also love Louis and George as first names. I would love Louis Edmund or George Elias.

Love Theodore Elias! Normally I would go for anything with Ezra in it but not when paired with John, sorry.
Theodore Elias is a nice combination

opinion, and suggest different combinations of names. Much appreciated.

    1. Ezra John - boring to me
    2. John Ezra - I'm sorry, But I believe giving a child the name John is just mean. In this day and age it's John doe, and John as in toilet. I understand it's an old name, one that should fade away though. IMO
    3. Louis Ephraim - NMS but probably the one I would vote for - it's a bit more unique and less generic.
    4. Louis Edmund - 2nd choice, also NMS
    5. George Leland - blah, generic
    6. Theodore Elias - Cute, but I always find theodore pretentious

You might like Edwin, Elliott,Elijah, Benjamin -all popular names.
Natacha - mother to Geneva Simone

    Current Favs:
    Boys: Archer Sloan or Merrick
    Girls: Indira Maren or Sloan

Ezra John is nice but I prefer John Ezra- it flows better. Ezra John Arthur or John Ezra Thomas work

Louis Ephraim stands out more than Edmund, don't think either needs a 2nd nn

Prefer Leland George. George is so heavy. Leland George Arthur is nice

    Theodore Elias doesn't need a 2nd mn

As is, I like John Ezra & Theodore Elias but Leland George is more unique and unexpected
